DEVON
If anyone had ever told me that I would hear my father praising me in front of Mason, then I would have laughed at their face.
That was one thing I was sure to never achieve in my life.
Yet here I was witnessing that miracle. However, I didn't know how to react to that.
"Climbing the ladder was always easy for you, Mason because you were put on the top from the very beginning. But Devon.... he had to begin from scratch. I put him in all the troublesome projects that even experienced people found difficult to handle.
He proved me wrong every time I thought he would fail. Yet he never received any acknowledgement of his efforts or praises for his hard work. Yet he never complained.
And you?
I gave you Bloomfield Mason! Bloomfield! My dream project, and what did you do with it?
It should have been completed six months ago, yet it will take a whole more year to finish."
Mason opened his mouth to defend himself, but Dad didn't allow him.
