I sat beside Elena on the bed while she rested. Her eyes were closed, but I knew she wasn't asleep with the way her eyeballs moved beneath her lids.
In my other hand, I held her phone in a tight grip. I had to be a jerk to leave her alone as soon as we get back to rush to the gym and vent out all my anger and frustration before I ended up inflicting all of that on her.
I was away from her for only an hour. I thought to take her out for a drive to distract her mind after I cooled down myself.
Yet here I am, seething in anger again, ready to destroy everyone and everything around me.
The sky had turned dark, and yet we both haven't had anything to eat in a whole day. Both of us had lost our appetite along with our minds.
I heard a knock on the door which also woke up Elena. I wondered who it could be because her dad would not come to the villa and was staying over at Jimmy's.
"Come in," I said, and the door was pushed open by mom.
