I was sitting on the balcony of our bedroom at the villa with a shawl wrapped around my shoulders. I wasn't sure if I was feeling cold or not but I certainly needed something to cover myself as if that soft shawl would protect me from the impending danger.
After that earth-shattering kiss we shared in the hospital room, Devon took me back home. I thought we would continue what Jimmy interrupted once we are in our room-alone and in privacy, but Devon kept quiet throughout the ride.
I was anxious about what he was thinking, but I had lost all my bravado after that kiss. He walked me to our room and told me to rest before he disappeared.
It had been about an hour, and yet he hadn't returned or spoken to me more than a couple of sentences.
I sighed, not knowing how we ended up in this situation where we both needed each other and yet held ourselves back from reaching out to other.
Should I apologise to Victor if that was what Devon wanted?
