ELENA
We glared at each other. It reminded me of the times before we got married. The anger was the same though there wasn't a trace of hatred. Yet, it hurt even more than I thought.
"Stop insulting my father, Elena. I don't know what is your problem, but you have no right to disrespect him the way you are.
If you want to throw tantrums, then I am here. As your husband, I am ready to take it all, but you CANNOT do this to my father!"
I wanted to yell at him, tell him that his father was not worthy of that respect. None of the people in this family was, to be honest.
"What if I never apologise to him? What if I never accepts him as my father-in-law? How would that change things between us?"
Tears welled up in my eyes as I stared up at him. I saw something changing in those grey orbs that I adored so much, but it was gone before I pinpoint what it was.
"It will change A LOT between us. And if you don't want that change then do as I say." He told mercilessly.
