The whole ride back home was filled with nothing but pent-up anger and thick tension that suffocated me to the point, I couldn't wait to get out of the car.
After an excruciatingly long thirty minutes, Devon parked the car in the parking lot and even before he killed the engine, I was already out of the car and made my way to the elevator.
As soon as I unlocked the door and stepped inside the home, I made a beeline to the bedroom without pausing. I heard his heavy steps following me, but I didn't stop.
"Elena! Elena! ELENA!!" He was yelling my name like a madman, and it only pushed the tears I was holding in over the bridge.
I was on my way to the bathroom, where I was planning to lock myself and vent out all the pain and shock, but my plan was ruined by Devon as he grabbed my elbow and spun me around to face him.
"What?" I spat at him, unable to control myself.
