The ragged shallow breaths of Bob filled the entire place as his face looked horrible with the dripping sweat and the saliva smeared around his mouth, mixed with his blood.
But the faces around me were enjoying the whole thing with evil pleasure. I could only sob as Devon's arm remained around my stomach, caging me against him.
I knew that none of them could stop Devon except the one man in his late fifties. But he seemed to be the one enjoying the show most.
"Devon, p--lease stop. He... he will die!" I tried again.
I didn't want him to commit the sin of killing someone, no matter who that person was or what he had done.
"That's the exact plan, my dear!" He breathed against my ear, and a shiver ran down my spine.
I turned my head to the right and called for help.
