DEVON
I was frustrated at Elena but angry at myself. I was only teasing her on a call with Christine. I thought Christine was more than confused and even asked if I had lost one or two screws in my brain.
But then I realised that my small prank had affected Elena more than I wished and expected. So I decided to make it up to her with a good long drive and dinner.
The selfish reason behind that plan was obviously greed for her company. I didn't want her to go home and leave me just now.
I know it was cliche, but that was how it was!
But when our conversation turned into an argument, I dreaded it ending up with me hurting her again. I caught her eyes widening in shock abruptly.
I followed her gaze only to see a van speeding down our way. I honked the horn in a warning because the vehicle was too fast for the smaller road of Swindon.
