ELENA
"Elena? Elena? Miss Bell?"
I kept ignoring Devon's calls while we drove on the roads of Swindon. The sun had already set behind the horizon, and while passing by the road near the river, I watched its water coloured on the light golden and orange dust.
No place could ever replace Swindon in my heart!
I felt a feather-like touch on my cheek, which sent a shiver down my spine. I swatted Devon's hand away, furrowing my brows.
"Come on, Elena! You cannot keep ignoring me like that. I am your fiancee, remember?"
Yet he got no response.
Forced fiancee, I wanted to correct him.
"I can't believe you are mad at me for getting along well with your dad. Women CRAVE for their man and dad to be good friends you know!"
That was enough!
I turned to face him sharply before hitting him in the chest with the back of my right hand.
"Friend? So am I going to marry my dad's friend now?" I glared at him.
