Dad's words felt like someone had poured molten iron on my head. I had never expected he would bring up that, just to blackmail me.
Yes, he never let me forget about it or move on completely. He always made sure that he would constantly remind me about it.
To be honest, I was more than just grateful to him. I indeed owed my life to him because he did everything in his power and even beyond that to give me the life I had lived.
But that doesn't mean he can blackmail me with that past to dictate my present and future.
"Victor! Don't drag that topic in this. That has nothing to do with this!" Uncle Joseph voiced out my thoughts.
Dad threw a condescending glare his way before his face morphed into disgust.
