DEVON
"Get out! Get the fuck out of here because I don't even want to see your face. You have tormented me enough for tonight. Please just go!"
Elena's spitful words churned my heart painfully. Yes, I was angry. The moment I got to know that Mason booked the hotel room for her, I lost it.
I had never learned to trust anyone. I never got that opportunity except for that one fateful time. But as expected from my fucked up life, that one opportunity destroyed my willingness to trust anyone again in life.
But was that Elena's fault?
She had her share of mistakes in our relationship but so did I. But she never treated me so coldly or accused me of things I hadn't done.
Then why I always kept her hurting like that?
She didn't deserve this.
I didn't plan our special night to end on such a tense note. She was supposed to be the happiest woman in that place. Yet here, she was breaking down like an iceberg under the ruthless summer light.
I couldn't watch her like that anymore.
