Paige widened her eyes and said to her baffled, "This is way worse than a bad joke, they could have killed you doing this, you're lucky you only lost your shoes... You're not going to tell your parents? They must be really worried, don't you think so?"
Cassy decided to use this girl's past at least she wouldn't have to explain that her parents lived in another world, and they must be crazy with grief and pain because they probably thought she was dead by now, "I live in the orphanage, but I turned 18 yesterday and after what happened to me today, I want to take my chances and try to pass the tests for Mages to be able to get into the Academy of Catara, I don't want to ever go back there."
Paige nodded and said to her, "I can understand you, I wouldn't want to go back there either, and if you want to take the tests for Mages, I think it would be better if you wait until tomorrow morning.
Today, especially at this time, there are a lot of people lining up to take the tests and it's not even sure you'll be able to take them before they close.
You'll have a better chance tomorrow morning, my father will be able to get you in easier, he's one of the best Warrior instructors of the Academy, and my older brother is already in the academy too.
He's 20 years old and he's a Warrior like my father, they're coming home tonight, you'll be able to meet them and ask them questions if you want to."
Cassy's eyes widened in surprise, she really had a hard time believing she could be so lucky, but she said to her, "Paige, that's very generous of you but I don't want to intrude on your family, if your mom can help me out a little by buying these magic herbs that would be already great."
Well, she still had to find out why she had to follow Paige, but perhaps the Divine Mage System just wanted to give her a hand to be able to sell the magic herbs quickly…
Paige then laughed heartily and told her, "Wait and see how my mom will react when she see the state you're in, and what magic herbs you're bringing her, trust me you'll have no choice but to accept our hospitality."
Cassy smiled at her shyly, Paige was really a nice girl and so she continued to follow her asking out of curiosity, "Are the magic herbs I found really that rare?"
Paige said as she looked again at the magic herbs that were in her tree bark, "Not only are they rare, but I've never seen them of this quality before.
These magic herbs are used to make level 3 and 4 magic pills and the Mages that live here sometimes have to go into other cities to be able to get them, once they find out that my mom has them they will all want them."
While she was listening to her carefully because she didn't know that these magic herbs could be used to make magic pills, Paige continued to give her information that would probably be very useful to her for her future in this world, "Moreover, they are all mature which means that as soon as my mother replants them, they will already be ready to give seeds."
Paige was so exicted that her eyes were shining, "My mother won't believe her eyes, even if they take two months to mature after she plants the seeds, thanks to you she will be able to create a stock, she will be delighted."
Cassy smiled at her, if this family decided to help her it would be easy for her to thank them.
Since she was a little girl, she had always been able to make any plant or tree grow without any problem, and all she needed was to sell the magic herbs she had found to be able to pay for a room in a rest house, new shoes, and she absolutely needed new clothes.
But even if Paige seemed very excited, she was still unaware of the prices charged here.
The girl whose memories she had inherited didn't even know that magic herbs could be found in the forest and then resold.
All she had learnt from her memories was that a new dress would cost her about 50 silver coins and new shoes 20 silver coins, and she also knew that 1,000 silver coins was the equivalent of 1 gold coin, even though this girl had never seen one.
Paige added with a smirk, "Luckily for me, the girls who were with me only paid attention to your appearance and not to what was in your tree bark.
Two of them have already entered the Academy of Catara as Mages, but they don't have much potential, they'll be green with envy when they realize what they have missed."
Cassy then asked her as she didn't remember that the medicinal herbs her mom bought could make seeds, "Paige, you said these magic herbs can make seeds, I didn't know that, how many seeds can they provide?"
Paige smiled at her, magic herbs were a real passion for her, so she was happy to be able to talk about them, "I honestly don't know, like I told you this is the first time I've seen them of this quality, but for the ones that are of normal quality, they can already provide 2 to 3 seeds a week once they mature."
After thinking about it, Cassy thought that there must have been seeds in the soil around the magic herbs she had healed, and that was why they had appeared out of nowhere.
And as they finally entered the city, Cassy was pleasantly surprised.
As she had already guessed, unlike this girl's village which was very rustic, the houses and buildings of this city, although not of contemporary or futuristic architecture, still looked like those of her world.
