Chapter 9 - Feelings of Guilt and Worry

Arriving Clarissa in the cafe. Clarissa quickly sat beside Abel who was working on a financial report.

Helena took a glass of water that was not far from her.

Glek. Glek. Glek.

"Humph. It sucks," Clarissa muttered.

Abel who was on the side glanced at Clarissa and frowned because Abel was amazed by Clarissa's behavior.

"Why? How come you look so upset like that?" asked Abel.

Clarissa took a deep breath before finally placing the glass on the table.

"Why?" asked Abel for the second time.

Clarissa shook her head. "It's okay. It's just that it's hot outside so it makes me emotional."

Abel snorted indignantly. "Why are you always emotional when you're hot?"

Clarissa shrugged. But when Abel was about to return to ask. Clarissa's cell phone buzzed.

Clarissa quickly took her cell phone, because it was certain that her cellphone vibrated because of the incoming phone call.

"Hello."

["Clarissa."]

Clarissa suddenly wrinkled her forehead in surprise because she felt her voice was quite familiar. Clarissa quickly saw the name of the caller.

After seeing it. Clarissa quickly put her cell phone back to her ear.

"Mommy Alexa, why are you calling me?" Clarissa asked in surprise.

There was a sigh from behind the phone. ["You forgot something huh?"]

Clarissa was silent when she heard mommy Alexa's question. Because he still felt like he was forgetting something.

But Clarissa didn't know what she had forgotten.

"How come mommy knows when I forget something?" she asked.

["Because you forgot to come to play together with Chole yesterday,"] replied mommy Clarissa.

Clarissa reflexively slapped her forehead. "Oh my God mommy. Clarissa completely forgot about the promise Clarissa had made."

"Then what about Chole? Crying? Mommy, I'm sorry. Clarissa forgot."

["Mommy knows you forgot Clarissa,"] said mommy Alexa.

"Mommy, why didn't you call me yesterday? I might be able to go straight to mommy's house after my work is done," Clarissa asked.

["Mommy's afraid to disturb your time,"] replied mommy Alexa.

Clarissa took a deep breath. "Mommy. It doesn't bother me at all."

"Precisely now I'm bothered because I feel guilty for Chole."

["Sorry Clarissa. For not informing you yesterday,"] Mommy Alexa said feeling guilty.

"It's okay mommy. Mommy is completely innocent," Clarissa replied.

"Then where is Chole? Clarissa can talk to Chole?" she asked.

Another sigh came. Clarissa suddenly frowned.

"What's wrong mommy? Chole must have been crying all night huh?" she asked.

["It seems that Chole was very afraid that you would leave him, but he only cried for a while,"] replied mommy Alexa.

Clarissa suddenly breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm grateful."

["But because Chole was crying for a while. Chole was holding back all her feelings and causing her to have a fever now,"] explained mommy Alexa.

"What?! Chole has a fever?!" cried Clarissa.

["Yes Clarissa."]

"I'm going to mommy's house now. So mommy, wait for Clarisa for a while," said Clarissa.

["Mommy isn't at home. Mommy is now in the hospital because Chole's fever hasn't gone down this morning,"] explained mommy Alexa.

"Okey, Mommy sent the address of the hospital. Later Clarissa will go,"] replied Clarissa quickly.

["Then be careful on the road. Chole is fine. So don't worry too much that it will cause you to act recklessly,"] said mommy Alexa.

"Yes mommy," replied Clarissa.

Mommy Alexa also cut off the call. Clarissa quickly looked at Abel.

It turned out that Abel was looking at him with a curious expression.

"Who? Why?" asked Abel curiously.

But instead of answering Abel's question. Clarissa held Abel's hand.

"Abel, I'm allowed to go home now? I have to go to the hospital," Clarissa said with a pitiful expression on her face.

Abel of course shook his head. "You can't."

"Why can't?" she asked.

Abel took a deep breath. "Diana didn't come to work today because of permission. So you can't have permission today either."

"Later who will help me to look after the cafe today? Besides, I'm currently making financial reports. It would be very inconvenient if I worked at the cafe alone," explained Abel.

Clarissa looked down sadly. He was silent with worry and guilt in his heart.

Worry because Chole was in the hospital, and guilt because he had made Chole sick.

Clarissa laid her head on the table and talked to herself in her heart.

"This is all my fault."

"If only I don't forget my promise to Chole. Chole won't be sad until it hurts."

"I am a bad mother."

Abel, who saw Clarissa's attitude, let out a rough breath. "Sorry, Clarissa."

"I can't help, because I'm also having a hard time," said Abel.

Clarissa glanced at Abel and smiled a little. "That's okay."

Even though Abel was curious about who Clarissa was talking to, and who had been admitted to the hospital to make his co-worker worry.

But Abel chose to remain silent because he saw that Clarissa looked so different.

Abel sighed before finally saying, "You better serve that customer now."

Clarissa reflexively raised her head and saw that indeed some customers had just entered the cafe.

Clarissa limply rose from her seat. But when Clarissa was walking. Abel said, "We'll close the cafe earlier."

"So you have to be enthusiastic when serving buyers that," said Abel with a small smile.

Clarissa who heard that suddenly smiled happily. "Thanks Abel. Abel is the best."

Abel only replied with a smile. Then Clarissa began to serve customers who were already in front of her very kindly.

Arrived at exactly 3 pm. Cafe finally closed. After Clarissa made sure all her work was done.

Clarissa immediately went to the hospital accompanied by Abel. Because Abel saw that Clarissa was in a hurry and acted carelessly. For example, crossing the street without looking right and left.

It doesn't take long. Finally, Abel's motorbike arrived in front of the hospital and looked very big.

Clarissa quickly got off Abel's motorbike and Clarissa handed over the helmet that she was wearing too.

"Thanks Abel for taking me to the hospital," said Clarissa.

"I'm your friend, so your no need grateful, like to other people," Abel replied.

Clarissa suddenly chuckled. "Okay okay. Next time I will treat you to a meal."

"Well, this is my friend," Abel exclaimed happily.

"You better hurry to the hospital. But remember don't run or you will fall," Abel warned.

Clarissa nodded her head and smiled a little. Before finally Clarissa walked into the hospital.
