Chapter 30

Aiden: Hey, Clay...

Clay: What?

Aiden smirked.

Aiden: Don't blink...

Clay: Huh?! Everyone if you know what's good for you gun him down now!

Aiden: Heh, Goodluck.

*BANG~~

At the bar, all that could be heard were the sounds of gunshots.

.

.

.

.

Clay jumped onto one of the tables.

Clay: Haha, looks like he's dead-

Aiden: Hahahaha, I told you not to blink, Clay.

Clay:What the...? How did you...?

Aiden: You seem surprised. You blinked and missed the whole thing.

Clay: I did, and nothing happened, Ha! it was just a bluff, wasn't it?

Aiden: "Just a bluff" eh? Look at me well, Clay...Do I have a scratch on me?

Clay: What the...?

The men began to groan from pain then they all passed out one by one.

Clay had a fearful expression on his face

Aiden: Haha, I love that look.

The bar was as silent as a graveyard, the workers were silent and all the men were unconscious due to unknown causes.

Clay: W-what did you do, brightfil!?!

Aiden: Do you know how fast a human blinks? 1/10th of a second, I used that time you used blink to knock out all your men individually.

Clay: That's impossible! You'd have to have been moving at an unimaginable pace to hit each and every single one of 'em! ...And there are over a hundred men here!

Aiden: Hehe, You wanna call them all out yourself, to check who's awake?

Clay: Don't fuck with me, brightfil! What did you do?!

Aiden: I told you, I knocked them all out individually, no tricks, well... there is one but, Heh, but why would I tell you?

Clay aimed and shot light magic bullets at Aiden rapidly, but Aiden just dodged them and walked toward him.

Aiden: These bullets move in a straight line, huh? They are wayy too easy to dodge, even if that wasn't the case, they are too slow to tag me.

Clay kept shooting, he didn't know Aiden was already in front of him.

Aiden kicked the table from under him and dropped kicked Clay into the stage,

Clay slid and bumped into the cage he kept Vesta.

Clay:Argh!!

Aiden walked over one of Clay's unconscious friend's bodies heading for the stage.

Clay's POV

There's never been anyone I wasn't capable of killing, even targets faster than myself, targets who were stronger, even if in the rare chance I fail once, it never happens twice, how's he even capable of doing this, these bullets have never failed me before, I even had them upgraded from my last ones, they should be twice the speed! I've never missed a target in my life...but somehow, I can't even hit a target that's this close! ...What type of monster is he?!

Clay started to hyperventilate.

Clay's POV

I'll never let this go! Even if I have to cheat to win, I'll do it! I just have to make him put his guard down and then I can pour my magic into my bullet then seal the deal!

Clay: Stay away from me you monster!

Aiden: ...

He wanted to shoot Aiden but his guns were no longer with him.

Clay: Huh?

Aiden: Looking for these?

Clay: When did you...?

Aiden: You were taking forever to think of a plan to beat me, I got bored and swiped them.

Clay looked around and found his knife next to him, he quickly picked it up and held Vesta at knifepoint.

Vesta: Get...Off me you Bastard!

Clay: Drop the gun Aiden or I'll kill her!

Aiden: Wait, you thought I was gonna shoot you? Hahaha, Oh, no, I ain't touching you, truth is I can't kill you... But that doesn't mean I can't hurt you, Now let her go.

Clay: You care about your friends more than you do yourself, that's one of you're weaknesses, Aiden and that's why I'll win!

Aiden:...

Clay: Shoot yourself right now! Or I kill her!

Aiden: So if I do you'll let her go? But I wouldn't be alive to see it so that deal doesn't hold up.

Clay: If you survive it then I'll let her go.

Aiden: Who survives a bullet to the head?

Clay pressed the knife on Vesta's neck.

Clay: Do it or she dies.

Aiden: And if you go back on you're word? Open the cage at least so I'll have some certainty you'll let them go.

Vesta: Don't listen to him, Aiden, this guy did horrible things to Lucy, please finish this fast and help- gah!

He pressed it further.

Aiden: Stop that or I'll break that hand!

Clay: Do it!

Aiden pointed the gun at his head...

*BANG!

Clay: Hahaha, I win! An idiot to the end.

Aiden: Are you sure about that?

Clay: For the love of God what are you?!

Aiden: I'll make this clear, Clay, your bullets could never truly harm me, the only reason I dodged them is that they hurt not cause they could kill me.

Clay and the sisters looked in shock as Aiden patted the smoke off him without a single scratch.

Aiden: Your wife would be very disappointed in a man like you.

Clay: I told you that cum bucket isn't my wife!

Aiden appeared in front of him and kicked him to the pub he broke through the wine rack.

Clay: Argh!

Aiden: I dare you: Repeat it.

Clay's teeth chattered.

Aiden appeared in front of him and stepped on his back.

Clay: Argh!

Aiden: I said to repeat it.

Clay: Grrr!! Get...off...me!

He tried to stab Aiden's leg but he caught it and melted the blade, then he stepped on Clay's head.

Clay: I...can handle this much!

Aiden: *Sigh* I shouldn't damage you more than I ought to, I'll stop at this.

Aiden bondage Clay up with a flame bind spell.

Meanwhile, Vesta found the key to Cages and freed herself and her sisters.

Aiden carried Clay back to the stage and dropped him.

Vesta: Ahhh! Take this!!

She kicked his face.

Vesta: And this! And this!

She kept kicking him.

Vesta: This is for those seals you put on us!

She kicked his chest.

Clay: Oof!

Vesta: This is for treating us as dolls!

She kicked stomach

Vesta: This is for what you did to Lucy!!

She kicked him in the balls.

Aiden/Clay: Oof! Argh!!

Aiden fell to the ground gripping his groin.

Winry: Why'd you scream Aiden?

Aiden: Even...if he deserved it, I think all men share that pain when that area is attacked.

Vesta kept kicking it.

Winry and Alda pulled her away.

Vesta: Scum!! Fucking scum!

Aiden trying to catch his breath.

Aiden: Okay, tell me where Lucy is

Vesta: Why were you late?!

Aiden: I...got sidetracked. I'm sorry.

Vesta: Sorry isn't going to heal Vesta!

Aiden: Did he...?

Alda: Yes, he did, repeatedly, but she didn't scream, we heard her muffled voice but she didn't scream from it...But her eyes went dark once in a while, he made us watch.

Aiden: Hmm... Can...you take me to her?

Vesta: Why?! What could you possibly do? Fire magic users don't possess healing, and you came late so you could act like the hero!

Aiden: That's not-

Vesta: Shut up, I don't want to hear it! At least if you didn't want to show up...you could have let him do it to all of us so she wouldn't be alone...

Vesta knelt and started crying.

Aiden couldn't lift his head.

Aiden's POV

No. This isn't the time for this, as long as she's still alive, I can help, raise you're head brightfil, It's not over.

Aiden: I'm sorry I can't change the fact that I came late, but at least I know I can still be able to do something for Lucy...But first...

He covered Vesta with his cloak.

Vesta: Huh, why?

Aiden: ...Cover yourself up, I've seen too many boobs in one day.

Vesta: You think this is a joke?!

Aiden: Nope, but if all of us are depressed no one's gonna feel any better and It won't solve anything, So, take me to Lucy.

Aiden smiled.

Alda: I'll take you.

Winry: Huh? I thought you didn't like him?

Aiden: Ehh? But why?

Alda: Nevermind why, let's just go, if you're sure it's not too late to help her I'll take you, Petty hate isn't more important than my sister's life.

Winry: Then I'll come with you, I can't let you go alone with him.

Aiden: Hey...

Alda: Don't worry, Winry, he's trustworthy enough, I'll be fine.

She faced him.

Alda: Let's go.

Aiden: Lead the way then.

They took the stairs up to the 4th floor as they kept going Alda kept noticing more unconscious men laying on the floor as they walked.

Alda: You knocked them out as well?

Aiden: Yeah...

Alda: How'd you do that anyway?

Aiden: I'm just fast that's all.

Winry: If you're this fast, what kept you from getting here on time?

Aiden abruptly stopped.

Aiden: I, er, had a hard time finding this place.

Alda: When did you get here? To this district in particular.

Aiden:Er, an hour ago I think.

Alda: And you couldn't find this place?

Aiden: The note didn't mention the name of this place, so I couldn't find it, I just heard a man from the marketplace talking about a hot new spot and I decided to check it out.

Alda: That statement doesn't hold up, if she didn't write it then you'd why did you detour here? You didn't have a reason to, right? According to you, you had no idea we were here, so why did you come here of all places?

Aiden's POV

She's perceptive as hell! And I wish I could tell her about the whole "Mara" thing but I'm already on thin Ice with winry and I let something bad happen to Lucy because of my procrastination...What do I say?

Aiden: I, er, I...

Alda: It was in the note wasn't it?

Aiden: Yeah...

Alda: Was what Vesta said right? Did you arrive late just to feel like a hero?

Aiden: No! That's not true, I...I...

Alda: You what?

Aiden: I...

They heard a clapping noise coming behind the room door they were standing in front of, muffled moaning noises then a male's voice saying "round 4!".

Both their faces turned red.

Alda: C-can we talk about this somewhere else?

Aiden: S-Sure.

They left and headed to the room Lucy was left in.

.

.

.

.

.

They arrived at the room and Alda put her hand on the door to stop Aiden from going in.

Alda: Aiden, I'll still need an answer later...but just promise me one thing right now...

Aiden: Sure, what is it?

Alda: Make sure Lucy comes out of this room with her smile on her face...if not I'll never forgive you!

Aiden: Right!

She took her hand off the door and opened it for him.

Aiden: Aren't you gonna come in?

Alda: I'll wait for you out here.

Aiden: Okay.

He went in and shut the door behind him.

Lucy, [in a weak voice]: A...iden, Is that you?

Aiden: Hey, Lucy, sorry I'm late.

Lucy was tired to the bed hands and legs.

Aiden: He...did this to you?

Lucy: I agreed to do it...so he wouldn't touch my sisters.

Aiden: I'm... sorry I was late.

Lucy: You smell of a girl.

Aiden got shocked.

Aiden: You could tell, huh?

Lucy: I guess men do share a love for these things.

Aiden: I didn't do what you think I did.

Lucy: But I smell "release" on you...and blood.

Aiden: I'll explain those later, for now, let me untie you.

Lucy: Don't bother I can't walk either way.

Aiden: What?!

Lucy: Clay broke my legs, he wanted a submissive doll, so he shot me at my sides so I couldn't move.

Aiden: ...

Lucy: And besides I wouldn't want to be saved by someone who has done the same thing.

Aiden: I didn't! ... Fine I'll tell you what happened.

He explained how he got lost looking for the Demi-den, how he met a girl with a complicated life, he told her about how Mara needed blood and all that happened in the brothel before arriving here, but he didn't mention her name as a way to keep the promise he made to Mara.

Aiden: I know I was late and I know there's no excuse I can give that can cover up why I'm late or what he's done to you, but can you forgive me this one time... please?

Lucy: What's done is done, there's no point holding on to a grudge, it wasn't your job to help us in the first place you did it out of your kindness, and for that, I should be grateful.

Aiden: Thank you, I'll never let this happen again.

Lucy: Why are you so attached to us anyway?

Aiden: I like cats...(girls)

Lucy: Haha, that sounds more like you again. Help me untie these so you can take me to a healer.

Aiden: I have a better Idea.

Aiden smiled.

Aiden: But will you trust me?

Lucy: I do...

Aiden: Well, then...

Aiden's turned on his magic and his eyes glowed red.

Aiden: Fire magic: Phoenix flames of...

Alda came in.

Alda: What's taking you so long?!

Aiden: ...recovery

Lucy was set on fire and Alda was horrified.

Alda: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY SISTER?!!!

Aiden: Calm down I'm-

Alda: I knew I shouldn't have trusted you!

Aiden: Take it easy, that's not what's-

She tried to punch him but he dodged, she relentlessly kept attacking him but he caught her hands and pin her to the wall.

Alda struggled to get free.

Alda:I shouldn't have trusted you! You worthless good-for-nothing, scum bag!

Aiden: Calm down.

Aiden's POV

Ouch, my feelings.

Alda: Let go of me you, pest!

She tried to kick him right where it hurts, But Aiden closed his knees before she could.

Aiden: Phew, hehe, that would have put me out of commission for the night.

Alda: Let...go of me, Aiden! I have to save my sister!

Lucy: But I'm fine.

Alda: No you're not, you're burning alive- wait, what?

The fire dispelled and Lucy looked as fresh as if she just took a hot shower.

Lucy: That was very refreshing, Alda, I may need to feel like this every day so please don't kill, Aiden.

Alda: What did you do don't make it sound vague.

Aiden: Heh, I'll try, remember that poem I said back then that destroyed you guys' armor at that Island?

Alda: Yeah...

Aiden: It turns out that spell wasn't for an attack but for recovery (Or so I figured when I saw nothing got burnt)so with that spell in mind I just reduced the size and cut down the magic input and made it my very own type of recovery magic spell, which I call: "Phoenix flames of recovery". Hehe, pretty smart, huh?

Alda: So there is no pain involved?

Lucy: None.

Alda: You weren't suffering inside it at all?

Lucy: It felt refreshing, and I'm back to 100%, and I feel like I even have more magic than I did before.

Alda: You're seriously okay? No drawbacks?

Lucy: Yep.

Aiden: So can you stop trying to destroy my balls?

He freed her from the wall.

Lucy: Can I walk?

Aiden: I don't know wanna try it out?

Lucy put one of her legs on the ground and then the other she stood up from the bed and started walking around.

Alda had tears in her eyes and ran to hug Lucy.

Alda: I'm so glad you're alright!

Lucy: I'm glad you're alright too, but let's not forget to thank the person who helped us.

Turned her head toward Aiden

Alda: ... You're not bad I guess.

Aiden: Worse thanks/apology ever.

Alda: I wasn't doing either, humph!

Aiden: Kids today, Hahahaha.

Alda and Lucy giggled.

Aiden's POV

Family is nice, isn't it? This kinda makes me appreciate that my family came to this world with me.... but before I can kiss today goodbye there's one more loose end I've got to tie up before I can say good night.
