Chapter 32
Aiden: Zzzzzzzzzz... Zzzzz... Zzzzz...
Crysta: Wake up Aiden.
Aiden: Zzzz...
Crysta: I said wake up.
She kicked him.
Aiden: Ahhh...-Oof!
*THUD*
Aiden: Who...are...you? Why...are you...?
Akeru: Aiden, you're still asleep?
Aiden: Vxgthszbb...! I owned...Zzzz.....
Crysta: Some cold water should wake you up. [Ice magic: Ice water]
Aiden: Ahhhhh! What?!! What is it?!! Sometimes I don't like siblings!
Crysta: The feeling's mutual, Anyway, It's our daily training session with dad, get your butt out of the couch and let's go.
Aiden rubbed his eyes.
Aiden's POV
The hell? I just went to sleep a few minutes ago.
[He went to sleep 2 hours ago.]
Aiden: ...It's too early, please let me have just two hours of sleep.
Crysta: We do this 5 times a month and today is one of those days, let's just get it over with so we can head to school for our exams.
Aiden's POV
if I had known of the events that were going to happen last night, I would have ended that entire thing back at the Arena.
God, please can I have time magic, next time?
I'll do anything.
Akeru and Micheal went out the door leaving Aiden with Crysta.
Crysta: Get up, let's go.
Aiden: Your expression is putting me to sleep.
She glared at him
Aiden: Fine, fine, I'm coming after I wash my face I catch up with you.
Crysta: I already did that, now go get changed so we can go.
Aiden: C'mon you don't trust me enough to believe me when I say I'll meet up?
Crysta: Yes.
Aiden: Hehe, fine.
Aiden went to the bathroom and locked himself in there and fell asleep for an hour until Crysta busted the door open and dragged him off to the training spot.
.
.
.
Aiden: Can you stop dragging your older brother?
Crysta: If I let you go you'll scurry off somewhere again and dad'll make me hunt- I mean find you.
Aiden: Did I just hear hunt?
Crysta: I said no such thing.
They arrived at the spot.
Aiden: Ouch, my ass, you dragged me through a rocky field!
Crysta: Maybe next time try using your legs.
Aiden: Humph.
Richard: Good morning Aiden.
Aiden: Hey dad, Morning.
Richard: Why the look? Didn't you get any sleep?
Micheal stared at Aiden.
Aiden: Hehe, Of course, I did, Hehe.
Micheal: So you made it back, huh?
Aiden grabbed and ran behind a tree.
Aiden: Please, don't tell anyone. Please, Lil bro.
Michael: I'll do it on one condition.
Aiden: Which is...?
Michael: Hehe, don't get mad but I...
Aiden: What did do?
Michael: Hehe, I sorta, hehe...ate all your secret stashed junk food you've been saving for months.
Aiden: YOU WHAT?!!
Richard: Is everything okay?
Aiden/Michael: Everything's fine, dad.
Aiden: Why did you eat all? Didn't they feed you yesterday?
Michael: It was just too good.
Aiden: *Sigh*
Michael: ...
Aiden, [Strained voice]: Fine then, it's alright as long as you don't tell Dad and Crysta anything.
Micheal: Heh, say it nicer or I will.
Aiden's POV
This kid...
Aiden: *Sigh* Fine then, it's alright as long as you don't tell them, okay?
Michael: Ha. Power. Sure, I won't but later I want you to tell me what went on last night.
Aiden: Sure, later.
Michael: You must have been out pretty late, you're eyes looks terrible.
Aiden: Lack of sleep, a quick nap should help...
Crysta: What are you talking about?
Aiden/Micheal: Ah! Nothing! Right, Michael/Aiden?
Crysta: In unison? Whatever just come out let's see end this already.
Aiden: Hehehe, okay.
This training area was a place far outside the village, In the distance, you could see large hills surrounding it, the ground dry and clear of grass, rocky even in some places, and had a river and some trees for shade, this is where Aiden's father, Richard, trained them as to not destroy the village, in other words, he made this place, especially for Aiden.
Aiden: Atchoo!
Akeru: Are getting a cold?
Aiden: Nah, but I just felt something talk about me.
Richard: Now then last month I did a small analysis on all of you Crysta since you've already got perfect magic control but you'll need to work on your combat skills and creativity, you're already good at combat but you still rely on magic from time to time, and your smart, very smart but your creativity is a bit lacking.
Aiden: Heh.
Richard: But overall you're great...Now then to Aiden who just laughed.
Aiden: Hehe, dad why did you have to specify?
Richard: I wonder why... Anyway, as for you, I'd say you have a very high versatility, a strong magical affinity, and Combat prowess, you're fast and strong and you have latent potential which means you can get more powerful than you already are.
Aiden: Heh, bow before my awesomeness, peasants.
Crysta: Don't get a swelled head, brightfil.
Micheal: Still lost to me though, Aiden.
Aiden: Hehe, the weak always like to complain.
Richard: Now to the bad parts.
Aiden: The what?
Richard: You have terrible magic control, you're more susceptible to magic-themed attacks such as water or Ice, making your sister your biggest threat...
Crysta: ...
Aiden: You just cracked a smile, didn't you?
Richard: Aiden, I love you but you're a half-wit, you can't memorize incantations to save your life, not that we need to say them but still, you have a slight memory problem(I have one too so it could be my fault on that)
Aiden: Hehe, would a half-wit get a 100% on his test?
Richard: Oh yeah, congratulations, I forgot you also have great luck as well.
Aiden: Luck?
Richard: Crysta told me about it and said you flipped a coin throughout the entire test and got the highest score, I'm happy for you but you should probably study more.
Michael: Hehe, dummy.
Richard: And for my youngest son, you have mostly both of their weaknesses covered up, you're fast, strong with an okay magic control, creative with your affinity, you're combat prowess is good but still upcoming, and you found a way to use your portals to gain an advantage over you're siblings who have attack powers and you are the last born which puts you at favor with your mother.
Aiden: No fair.
Michael: Hahahaha, I told you Aiden, I'm better than you.
Richard: Well...not quite.
Michael: Huh?
Richard: Aiden still has a high combat prowess over you, If Aiden was serious about fighting you, you'd have no chance of winning, same with Crysta.
Crysta: Aiden does have an edge over our family, his damned flames.
Aiden: Hehe, Canceller flames solos!
Michael: Yeah... I forgot about Aiden's special skills.
Richard: We all had a unique power when we entered this world but it would seem Aiden's own is a cut above the rest. Canceller flames, the ability to negate the magic behind a spell rendering it useless. Impressive.
Crysta: The only thing that makes him special.
Richard: You're special too you know, My daughter is more special than my airheaded son.
Aiden: Favoritism!
Richard: Haha, even if it's been three years before you two became like this, I still can't get used to it.
Aiden: You mean, "the switch"?
Richard: Yes.
Micheal: Some of your personalities and traits were mixed up, heh, Aiden got Crysta's peppy-jumpy-talkative-playful- optimistic quirks. While Crysta was unfortunate enough to get, Aiden's "A silent voice-sits-at-the-back-of-the-class- room-ignoring the world-unnoticeable- edgelord personality. Poor Crysta.
I still remember when it was Crysta that used to play with me, now it's Aiden. I miss none edgy Crysta.
Aiden: Yeah, I still remember being the one with the cold expression and the Icy way of talking.
Crysta: Don't call how I am now and how I speak "Edgy" and "Icy".
Aiden: Well it was mine first.
Michael: And it's true.
Crysta: You want it back so bad, let's try dying again, and see the results.
Aiden: Hehe, I was never this dark, you know.
Richard: I know how much of which was taken from you and placed in the other and Vice versa but now's not the time, you have to practice your magic.
Aiden/Crysta/Michael: Okay/ Sure/ Let's do it!
They sat down in a circle and practiced magic control for 2 hours Aiden kept falling asleep and Crysta kept waking him up over and over with her ice water.
[20 minutes later]
Richard: Next is combat, so let's all stand up and stretch a little before we get started.
They stood up but Aiden fell asleep.
Crysta: Wake up. [ Ice magic: Ice water]
Aiden: Ahhh! Will you quit that? It's already very cold out here.
Crysta: No.
Aiden: *Sigh* Whatever, I can warm myself up again...
[Fire Magic: Soothing flames]
A weak flame engulfed Aiden and disappeared, it dried him up completely.
Aiden: So much better.
Akeru looked on at the siblings using their magic and felt left out, he walked up to Aiden's father, Richard.
Akeru: Hey, mister brightfil?
Richard: Yes, Akeru?
Akeru: What about my evaluation?
Richard: Oh, hahaha, I can't believe I forgot, I'm sorry, Akeru.
Akeru: it's okay, I should have asked sooner.
Richard: Well as for you, you have great skills, your body is built differently from the rest of the people of this world, seems like magic has little to no effects on you, and you are skilled with a sword, I've been watching your secret training session with Crysta, you're good.
Akeru perked up.
Akeru: T-thank you, Mister brightfil.
Richard: There all about to have a sparing match with me you can join in since it won't involve magic.
Akeru: I will.
.
.
.
The sparing was about to begin.
Richard: You're all free to attack me at once if you like.
Micheal: Finally, something to get the blood pumping.
Aiden: I'm still very tired.
Michael: How about a 2 vs 1 team match, dad?
Richard: I don't mind at all.
Michael's POV
Since going against him 4 on 1 might lead to confusion, It's safer to go 2 on 1, now I just need someone who can keep up with me.
Michael: Hey Crysta wanna-
Crysta: Hey Akeru team up I with me.
Akeru: Okay.
Michael: Ahhh, she picked him, that means all I'm left with is...
He looked at the ground and saw Aiden napping.
Michael: ...him.
Aiden: Zzz... Zzz....Zzz....
