Inside a the main room cobwebs covered various stone statues. Yet in the middle of furtherest wall a shiny throne was kept clean.
There was no body on the throne. Looking at it from a different position it looked like a wooden chair with golden coverings.
This was the sight that the group saw. The main room much taller than any skyscraper that Rex knew of. The webs seemed to show how much care each item actually got.
When the group actually took the time to examine the first statue. It was remarkable that the webs were holding the statues together to keep it from falling apart.
"This is much different than I expected. However, I believe that whoever that throne belongs to either has too much affinity for the wood on the back side. Or this throne has been built over years of time." The shortest man spoke his thoughts.
"Honestly, I believe that this is just a fake. The real one would be the spiders currently." War God replied.
Rex stayed quiet. The Ancient Zuggurant wanted to hear his thoughts.
"Rex any thoughts on what has happened here?" War God spoke.
She wanted to call him Master but the nudge from the Ancient Zuggurant told her otherwise.
"This is either something sacred or the spiders have someone keeping this place clean." Rex told them.
"Well, continue please. I want to believe that you are correct." The Ancient Zuggurant told Rex.
Rex really was not in the mood to continue but put his thoughts together. This took a few minutes to completely solidfy.
"Well, here we have the first piece of evidence is the cleanliness of the area. Places or items are not kept this clean. Also, the statues are being held together. The throne is either not part of the collection and just here to prevent us from actually searching for clues or the throne belongs to the powerful master over the spiders."
The group decided to search the room more carefully. Everything that they were searching for happened to be nothing but a goose chase.
"Help." Rex heard.
Rex knew that this voice was masculine but he was not sure if anyone else heard it or not.
Rex went to the statues once again. He needed to see what kind of faces were there.
"If you dare damage the statues, The Den will come after this group." Rex heard.
"Do me a favor then. Make it where I can see the face on this statue." Rex replied in a quiet manner.
"Very well. I shall guide you." The voice replied.
As Rex's hands went towards the cobwebs. Rex could have sworn that a red eye guided him through the cobwebs that did not bother the rest of the statue.
Upon reaching the face of the statue Rex focused Water Qi above his hand and let the water clear the dust and pulled his hand back.
"This statue looks feminine." Rex spoke.
The group decided to check his statue out as well. They all agreed that the statue should have been one of a female.
"That does not make any sense. The female should have had no covering when she was buried." The shortest man spoke.
The spiders sensing the voice carried by the shortest man seemed to be angry.
"Stop you insolent fools before I get angry." Rex spoke.
This caused a major twist in the plan.
"So we believe that the woman who died was not in a coffin. Yet, here the statue looks like a female. Does this mean that her spirit is still around or is there something else at play?" Rex spoke.
A giant spider seemed to appear out of the blue. Hundreds of eyes roamed the body, the eight legs three times as thick as oak trees, each one of the legs length could not be seen on, this spider was bright red now obviously something was wrong with this spider because even the Spider Queen knew nothing on it.
"Foolish humans, how dare you always trot in here and kill my children. Now you dare to speak evil of our first lady who raised us. What do you say?" The spider spoke.
"First, we were not speaking ill of your lady. This is our story of the woman that I believe is the same." Rex motioned for the shortest man to explain it.
The shortest man explained the story. Has the story continued there were parts that the spider seemed to agree on. There were others that she did not.
"Seems like either the story got falsely written down or the story changed on perspective." Rex spoke.
"I'll agree that this is indeed weird." The spider spoke.
The parts that the man got the two women was the same. The reason why the woman came to him was not because she was his sister but first wife and he had left her behind in a burnt building.
When she tried to confront him about it, the other women fought religiously against her because she had already betrayed them first.
The story having a solid good two pieces now was more than enough to bring the peace to the group.
Of course the stories settled in hard on both sides. There was nothing else to do. So the giant spider disappeared as it was never there.
"Let me ask you this before we leave. Is there any more clues about her in this room?" War God asked.
"What pieces there is are being protected by the den."
"Allow us to take the ones that will give us the most information and we will bring them back to their rightful place." The Ancient Zuggurant spoke.
"Who has that you will Eater of Spider Queens?"
"My word speaks of itself, if I wanted to this place already would have been wiped even without his help. Since we are trying to be nice and give him help. I figured this was the best way. You have helped us reach this place. You helped him reach the statue without destroying it. Yet, we cannot get some pieces and research them and bring them back." The Ancient Zuggurant spoke.
"There are a total of six pieces that information can be gotten from. Ten pieces that you scrape to get information from. Anything else will be considered hate against us."
Three books, two combs, and a pill bottle were dropped into War God's hands. A shiny green statue of the woman was presented. Rex took a good look at the woman in her birthday suit. Nothing hidden and her charm was not bad. Rex took a little scrape from the back of the statue on the base.
Everyone else had gotten scrapes of various items. Thus they left with the items and went back to the Ancient Zuggurant's house.
