As the group waited for the Ancient Zuggurant to finish his bite. Their anticipation was quite high.
"To begin with, there are actually two different versions of the 'lips of the woman' fruit. We have the red version of it and there is a blue version of it. The blue version is very poisonous, so poisonous in fact that even insects cannot be near it without dying instantly."
This made Rex and War God sweat. A story starting out with that was very upsetting.
"The story goes with two women liking the same man. The trio ventured into the far reaches of the Seventh Realm. They walked, ran, made love, enjoyed their nights under the dark sky, and eventually made their home here."
Rex felt that this was very much like his story. He did not want to spare any time consuming thoughts here.
"The women got pregnant after they settled down. The man got deathly sick three months into their pregnancy. The women tried their best to save the man whom they loved.
The first woman used natural elements from around and made soups and salads to help the man. This was his breakfast and late night meal.
The second woman used beasts and pills to further increase the man's vitality. This was his mid morning and mid afternoon meals.
The story continues like so until one day a strange person reveals themselves as a healer. So when the women accepted the healer to look at their man. Something strange happened.
The man was afraid to see the person. Almost like he had seen a nightmare come to life. The healer stayed for three days. On the last day, the healer revealed themselves as the man's sister.
She had directly and indirectly poisoned her brother for running away with the two women. Instead of more words, blood came out of her mouth. She could not stop coughing.
'We knew who you were. Yet, we hoped that you would save your brother instead of poisoning him more. Yet the fruits we gave you became a poison like yourself is. So be ready to die before your brother.' Those words have been recorded in history as the last words the sister ever heard.
The sad news was when they buried the sister. Within days, a new bush appeared. Three days later, the blue 'lips of the woman' fruit appeared.
The women still did everything in their power to keep their man alive. As he felt his Soul leaving, he kissed the women.
'My beautiful women. I know my sister wronged me in the greatest of ways. I hope that you two did bury her with some kind of service. If not, the fruits that she will bare will kill animals and insects. I pray that my fruits may bare good fruit. I love the two of you.'
The last three words have been editted. Some say he was actually trying to confess which one he truly loved. Others say he wanted to marry the two of them. The two women felt that their love not only for him but for each other should have ended it that way.
When he was buried, he had a small box that fit him comfortably made. The women now were four months pregnant. Each one unable to finish the grave. Yet, a few travelers helped the pregnant women to finish the grave.
Just like the sister, a bush appeared and then three days later the red fruit appeared. The blue fruit got used to make poisonous lipstick for women. This was to ensure a fatal dose of death.
Whereas the red fruit got used to make women look prettier from its color. It was also edible making it much more likely to be used over the centuries.
No one truly knows how either bush as survived for this long. Rumors have it that they can only survive close to the burial site of the one that they came from.
That is indeed a lie. I moved the town from near the edge of the Seventh Realm to here. Yet, the bushes still flourish. I believe that this is," Rex raised his hand.
"Go ahead." The Ancient Zuggurant spoke.
"Could the town itself be their burial site? If the bushes truly cannot leave the site, that would mean they were buried somewhere close by." Rex told them.
"It is possible. I cannot deny that. But for all sakes, I do believe that there is a connection to their burial in the town. I do not know what it is for certain."
'The spiders that live close by seem very evident in protecting something from my guess.' Rex thought.
Sensing the thoughts of Rex, the Ancient Zuggurant decided to have Rex give him a full power punch test. If something was indeed here, and maybe there was. Rex himself could indeed find it.
"Rex. I know that I did not want you to punch me with your maximum. I will show you how I will deflect it to the maximum of my ability. Still, if I cannot deflect it properly. I ask that you try to stop the punch before it lands on my body."
Rex nodded. He and the Ancient Zuggurant both walked after stuffing their faces as quickly as possible.
"Alright. Punch the air twice and allow me to watch."
Rex did just that and the air vibrated from the force of the punch. War God smiled as she watched her Master. The shortest man dumbfounded at the strength. As for the Ancient Zuggurant, he knew that his estimates were close to this but the amount of force behind it was beyond his experience.
"I must admit. That was truly a powerful punch. Yet, you have not yet even launched the second one. I am afraid that even I cannot completely deflect one of those punches without causing major injury to myself."
War God was even prouder of her Master because of his strength. Rex knew that this was just the beginning of him being able to fight properly.
