Chapter 716 - Chapter 714 Next question

"I have a question for you. Since the ladies down below hate Beastkin. Why is there these wolves being Beastkin?" Rex asked.

"Such a wonderful question my darling Grandfather!" She was excited to have a question from her grandfather. "Now, to your question." She was still excited but she did put on her serious face. "The wolves were all once part of one race who I dearly loved. There were issues every now and then but nothing serious.

One day, a few families just decided to leave for the other side of the mountain. I honestly do not know why, what happened, or if food was the issue. Four families with a total of nine puppies left.

A year later, the dark wolves made an appearance. They surrounded themselves with the darkness and the darkness accepted them. For the four families that left, even if they were to have more puppies there was still an odd number of the dark wolves.

Thankfully, we had emergency planning and were able to fight the wolves. Their increased in strength, agility, and viciousness was more than what we could truly deal with.

I made the terrain into a snowy environment. This caused the dark wolves to not be as fast. My wolves also became the Snowy Wolves. Years passed by, we fought the dark wolves until we actually had to make them a race of their own.

When we did, the generation of Lady of the Lake was at six. Beasts were now forbidden within the area of the Lady of the Lake due to their agreement. I moved the lake that I was born in up here along with the wolves.

There are ways for the wolves to get to the ground. I cannot stop it for the Dark Wolves because their blood is tied to the original and I cannot stop my wolves from going down.

Now that part of the segment is over. Do you have any questions?"

Rex honestly had a few but wanted to finish the story up first.

"Okay. Here is the second part to that story. With the wolves being able to go down and forth to the ground. A few brave souls decided to jump in a lake blessed by a lady. This gave them the Qi to be able to transform but they could not fully transform without the blessing of a body. I used a portion of my power to help the wolves gain a transformation. This was nice. Of course, the ladies who had their lakes blessed we had gotten permission to borrow their lakes for this purpose.

It was fairly new ladies so that their anger would be towards me instead of the wolves. This caused major misunderstanding between the wolves and the ladies and myself. The wolves got the blame for not being able to speak with their transformation. The new ladies got told about how vicious the wolves were and not to bless anymore.

Hearing that, I decided to use the wolves to bring up ladies. This was to instill fear and order. Those who would dare to blame Beastkin openly would be killed by me. I did kill a quite a few. Since memories should be intact of those who knew the lady who I killed. I had to permanently make it where she was erased from their minds.

I used their Qi to the power up my wolves. Their bodies to give new puppies transformations. Their collective memories stored within the lake of the unblessed.

The Dark Wolves not wanting to be outdone. They gathered around the lake of the unblessed and drank the water. Their bodies cursed with the water that they drank. Their transformations shifted towards the evil side of humanity and beasts alike.

Yet, not many of them could survive the transformation. Either I killed them during the transformation, my Snowy Wolves killed them, or they drank the water and ran away.

Finally, a Dark Wolf King appeared and he took the transformation into his private chambers.

Their kin protected by the king. Yet, my power cannot allow me to protect what and who I hold dear.

Once several wolves from both sides began to fight in their transformed state. This caused the ladies down below to become frightened of Beastkin. As they are neither beast nor human but evil beings.

I gladly accepted that from them. That made me a patt of the evil being. Where I would guide them either towards happiness or towards their death."

Rex had most of his questions answered. Yet, there was still one question that lingered on his mind.

"Just how do you know that the Dark Wolves had formed a king?" Rex asked.

He knew the answer to this was not going to be simple. Even if it was, he knew that killing those wolves would do nothing in return.

"He visits me on a semi regular basis to see how I am faring. I believe that once I either died or get weak enough. He will try to kill me and force the Snowy Wolves into submission."

This made Rex understand that he needed to take care of whatever lied on the other side of the mountain.
