As the group began their journey through the Seventh Realm. For whatever reason, this time they were not separated. This made traveling much easier.
"Something does not feel right." Rex thought.
This was honestly the first time that he felt that way while thinking about this Realm. For the other Realms, there is always something to worry about. Here in the Seventh Realm, not so much unless one was in the far reaches.
As he made to walk just slightly faster to make sure that he was not imagining anything. He felt like he saw an arena shut down.
Even before the players from Earth came in. The busiest Mortal Realm would be the Seventh Realm followed by the Ninth Realm. That is simply because everyone would come to watch arena matches constantly. The major Sects would battle in the Ninth Realm and this always caused bloodshed no matter the reasoning.
In the Seventh Realm, one could successfully make it here without the need for a Sect. It would be hard and tedious but it could still be done. From here on out, if one was not with a Sect. A two year journey through this Realm could take up to your death because of your actions.
As the group advanced to the arena. Rex did not hear any cheering, nor any fights, he also saw how old the arena looked, and this caused his heart to sink into bottom of his stomach.
"Please tell me why an arena is shut down." Rex questioned.
He honestly did not know about the arena losing favor in the Seventh Realm. Not because it was a bad arena, it was simply outdated and no one wanted to use it.
A few people were inside trying to cultivate. This caused Rex to flare in his anger. Unless one was experiencing an enlightenment. Just casually cultivating inside the arena was shameful.
He waited for the people to stop. His aura causing nearly the cultivators to lose their concentration. Thankfully, they were able to fix it and waken naturally.
"Good sir, why are you bothering our cultivation?" A woman asked.
"Why are the tournaments not being ran here?" Rex asked.
He always knew of this arena being the most famous for its natural looks and ability to allow people to get almost killed before restoring themselves and kicking them out as losers.
"You do not know." A man replied.
Rex turned his head in question.
"Several months ago, a failure was sighted in the formation inside the arena. People tried to correct it. No matter how hard or little they tried. Nothing seemed to work. Finally, some noble had the audacity to restart the arena." The man started.
"When it came to battle, many who had fought here before felt something off. When the tournament began. Even the weapons they held would not go right." The woman continued.
"At first, people believed that it was due to the formation. When people looked into it, nothing was found. When people questioned the noble about it. He could not care less and wanted battles going." Another cultivator continued.
"The arena fighters all left shortly. This caused a massive down spiral that caused the noble to lose this arena to the Head Royalty in the Seventh Realm. Unless people can fix this issue. This arena can only be used as a cultivation place. It also guards well against beasts and outside interference. Unless someone enters and tries to forcibly interrupt cultivators, the arena still provides a good place." The woman from earlier finished.
"Ding"
Rex checked the notification.
"Gather Thirty Elder Wood stumps with their roots."
"Gather Twenty Elder Crystals with their pearls underneath."
"Gather Forty Qi filled formations."
"Select one of the three to determine the course of the arena."
Rex was upset. He knew how to figure out what each were for.
"Is there another arena close by? I want to look at what keeps the arena going strong." Rex asked.
"This is just a rumor. Apparently, Elder Wood stumps with their roots is what most other arenas are using. It is not a good practice now." The woman spoke.
"I heard another arena is using upwards to forty Qi filled formation papers and it is also not doing great but for now it is keeping up and the easiest of the two to use." The first man from earlier replied.
"Ding"
Rex checked the notification.
"Gather Twenty Elder Crystals to restart the arena due to the people's influence on you. If the arena is successful, a treasure mine will be under your name."
Rex figured the next clue.
"Let me ask you three first. Is there any mines that are shut off close by?" Rex asked.
"Yeah. Four that I heard." The woman replied.
"I heard three and one is empty." Another cultivator replied.
"Alright. Do me a favor and we can make a deal of a lifetime for each of us." Rex smiled has he spoke this, "If there are any mines that are filled with crystals. I want you three to report it to me. I believe that those crystals hold the power in what we need to restart this arena.
Once we get this arena back up. All others will either beg for our business or suffer because they are stupid to not keep this one running properly.
Although, the arena will be under my name. I will want you three to help me keep it running. You three will have done the work to make sure that this arena can run and will continue to run.
I will not force it on any of you if you do not wish for it. I will expect that you do keep quiet about our talk unless you want to work under me." Rex told them.
The other cultivator thought about how much that information could be worth. He was still trying to make it by himself. While the man and woman were already considering the deal.
