As the group realized how dire this situation was. Rex was even more worried but he knew not to show it.
"We can only move forward." Rex said.
As War God made sure to stay behind. There baby started to cry. War God attempted to calm the baby down. She was unable to and this caused the others to fdown but Rex to gently grab the child.
"Come on now. Daddy is here." Rex whispered softly.
The baby started to calm down. This was not staling the group but rather slowing them down rapidly.
"This is too much!" Iris cried in her thoughts.
"This is going to be worst than anything I could remember." Liz worried in her thoughts.
"He is going to be the father of my child. This is also going to become our most hated trip through the Realms." Violet thought happy at first and then angered.
Amber and Margaret already knew how the others were thinking. They just quietly allowed them to think.
"Master, I am sorry for failing to keep your child happy." War God was not happy with herself or the silence of the Stairway.
"No worries. Besides, my cute little daughter is just as happy right now has she could ever be." Rex announced.
Everyone gathered to see a smiling baby.
"Precious!"
Their thoughts all aligned. Each one happily made the baby laugh.
"Such a marvelous child and yet here in the Mortal Realms. This child will not be able to live properly." Rex said sorrowfully.
As the women all felt that his words were true. Rex continued to slowly advance.
"Halt." A guardian golem of the Stairway announced.
This caused the group to stop.
"Only the man from here on out."
"My daughter, Battle Maid, and Soul Mate comes with me through this trial." Rex let out his Demonic voice.
A shift in the air seemed to cause the baby to cry. The guardian wanting to fight caused Rex to consciously hand over his child to Iris.
Rex redirected his evil intent to the guardian. This would forever cause a shift in the Stairway due to the fight that was brewing and going to happen.
"I believe we could finish this climb. Alas, you are too greedy about people climbing and forcing beasts to evolve slowly." Rex said and cracked his neck.
"I am a guardian of the Stairway not the Stairway itself. Only those who wish to prolong their stay in Realms get to voice their true opinions." The guardian replied.
The guardian got smashed into the stairs. A once proud golem now could not find itself worthy of standing.
"From here on out, I will force my way through the Stairway. Every golem here is now my personal enemy. You calm that you are here to protect the innocent yet the greedy people who want to consume the Nine Realms in absolute terror always get a free pass higher.
Those who wish to fight against that evil have to suffer through your shitty golems, Stairway. I will announce here and now that unless you do not call the golems all back into where they came from. I will find a way to send them there myself and destroy that place."
As the words ended, Rex and the group found themselves inside the Seventh Realm.
"Remember well, male of Earth. There is always a place for those who deemed evil to advance but those who wish to proclaim good and cause evil face my golems."
As the Stairway ended the conversation. Rex did not understand what the reasoning behind the Stairway mentioning that was.
"For those who deemed evil can advance. Those who proclaimed good and cause evil face the golems?" Rex began to focus on that.
"Ding"
Rex checked the notification.
"Quest: Supply your inner self with all pure and good intentions. Your Demon King of Annihilation is causing your good deeds to become evil deeds."
"Reward: You and the Stairway completely forget about what happened during the climb to the Seventh Realm."
"Failure: The Stairway will now try to deem you unworthy of advancing to the Heavenly Realm."
Rex smiled.
"Failure it is." Rex spoke.
His eyes told that he was not going to supply himself with all good. He knew better than anyone how evil he could be. Yet, for those he cared about his evilness would allow him to overcome many obstacles.
Becoming a True Saint by getting rid of all evil within him would cause his actions of the past to haunt him. This was his thinking and how he could easily accept more than what he should.
"My women, listen closely. I could try to become a True Saint and get rid of all evil intentions within myself. I do not believe that is what I need to do.
I believe that I need to honestly keep the evil within me at full power so that I can at any time be immune to the horrors that I cause. If I do get rid of them and cause myself to become fragile against it. I fear that I would go back to the way I was when I first entered the Stairway. A boy who was easily scared shitless and would easily be overpowered by any person.
I do believe at some point I will have to get rid of that evil. I believe that now is just not the time nor do I believe that this will always be the case."
Due to Rex mentioning this, the Dark Abyss sealed within my would lessen his hold and try to pass away. Part of the evil that was within Rex was in the Dark Abyss itself and part of it his Demon King of Annihilation. There was a small portion of his evil deeds that would never go away. This is because he can easily go back into the assassin route and bring down the Realms by himself.
No one would know that his evil side is influenced by the two majority sides until another notification goes off telling him that the Dark Abyss has finally given up.
