As the beast in front of Rex casually announced who it was. Rex was having a hard time believing it. Why? He felt that he had already taken care of it before. Could that have been a mistake?
"Why do I feel like that I have killed you before?" Rex asked worried.
The beast just casually sat back up and looked Rex in the eyes.
"Yes indeed, you may have killed a Cereberus before. Yet, I believe none of them could actually speak. Even if one could, they should have had the audacity not to claim themselves as The Cereberus as a Sacred Demonic Beast. If they did, their power would have been halved." The Cereberus spoke.
Rex took it with a grain of salt. The Cereberus also understood Rex's dilemma. The once peaceful mountain top now had two massive entities ready to fight.
"War God, naked maid come forth." Rex spoke.
The two came forth in a hurry.
"I am going to test this beast. Make sure that everyone including the leopards makes it down. War God, lead them to the First Realm Maintainer." Rex commanded.
He did not want to use their names because of the Ninth Realm Maintainer. Something also struck him odd that the mam did not try to say what his name was.
"I have to figure that out with them." Rex thought.
The Cereberus watched as the women began to side track the beast in front of them. Cereberus was interested in watching them descend. With Rex, the Cereberus knew to wait.
"I will make sure that they descend before we try to talk anymore." Rex spoke.
Of course, this was going to be the biggest chance of his life. The Cereberus waited for the Demon King of Annihilation to be completely ready.
As the group the leopards wanted to stay. Rex knew they could not.
"I know darlings. Whatever happens here, I cannot allow any of you to be hurt." Rex told them.
Showing a pout, the female sat her ass on the ground. Rex felt his headache starting with the beasts.
"Silly beasts, he is trying to protect you. At least do the man the honor of listening to his plea. If he manages to win, I will always ensure your safety around the stronger beasts." The Cereberus spoke in growls.
"The power difference is clearly there. Yet, you still want to fight, imbecile." The girl leopard growled back.
Even though Rex could not understand them. He felt that they were indeed talking about him.
"Yes. I am an imbecile. I have a ground to sway and a honor to protect what I need to. Can I win? No, I will not win no matter what the power difference means that I die. Could I defeat him? Yes. A defeat and win are different when life and death are on the board. I do not believe that this fight will be to the death. It is just a means of testing each other." The Cereberus yelped.
The girl leopard decided to allow the duo to have their fun.
"Any serious injury to our Master and I do not care if we all die. You will pay." Her anger was evident.
Rex felt that she should not have said what she did. He could not understand this language of the beasts.
"Would you like to know what they said?" The Spider Queen spoke inside his mind.
"Naw. I feel like I shouldn't and yet, I know better than to interfere with women and their issues." Rex replied.
"Such a grown man now. What ever happened to the boy would have killed my husband just to keep me?" The Spider Queen made a drama.
"That was a promise. That was also before I could actually tell how weak I just was. Now, I believe that killing him would actually be easy expect for the fact of one thing." Rex remembered his fear.
He was not sure if it was still active or not. As long as he could make sure that the other side was not scarier than him. He could almost disregard the fear.
Yet, as both parties talked. The tension grew and the cake could be served on a sliced plate whole.
Both parties watched the leopards descend. They were the last ones to fully descend. The duo stared off.
"Why have I faced you before?" Rex asked.
The Cereberus looked at Rex. Indeed they had fought before.
"During the period of Future Climbers a miracle happens, that is several chosen are selected for various reasons. You were chosen to fight me.
During that period, we clashed harder than two dragons fully grown. Why? That is how the Nine Realms operate. They weed out too good and too weak of cultivators. What they need is someone worthy to fight.
By selecting various candidates, who were brought by the demons, the fights can continue. What happens when other worlds want or need help? We have to provide the proper equipment and personal for the jobs.
Even choosing Demon Kings and Saints are hard on the Nine Realms. Nonetheless, each class and each profession has a job to do. By not doing it, we are subjected to torment.
Why do you think such bad luck as entered your life? What about all the good? Did someone or something cause you to change or did you naturally change?
These questions are all answered within the Nine Realms. So tell me, which side do you honestly prefer, Saint or Demon King?" The Cereberus questioned.
Rex felt that this was too much information for his tiny brain. Yet, the Spider Queen knew this all too well. So well in fact, that she cursed the Cereberus for meeting Rex during the First Time through as Rex likes to call it.
In the midst of all that information, the only true thing that mattered to him was the women who pledged love, respect, loyalty, and sometimes hardship to him. He smiled and replied, "Who cares? I honestly have had more fun in doing what I want verses doing the normal route."
The Cereberus smiled. This meant that the Nine Realms in fact did not choose him but had to accept him.
