A night of sorrows was what the Leopards of Grazzee had endured. The Ninth Realm Maintainer was trying to appease all of them. Yet, he still kept a smile on his face. This made the leopards unsure of what to do.
Yet, someone knocked on the door to the room. This made the Ninth Realm Maintainer upset.
"COME IN," he shouted in anger.
He did not realize it was morning already. Rex and War God were ready to depart. The person was the maid that War God forced to change her lifestyle.
"Greetings, I have come to inform you that My new Master and Battle Maiden are ready for departure since the night has passed." The maid said bowing.
She wanted him to know firsthand. Plus it was a way to redeem herself by trying to end on good terms. It was a disaster for the Ninth Realm Maintainer who noticed the time.
"I am sorry again for your loss. Since I already know that you all do not want to stay with me, go on ahead and join him. Make sure to treasure him like I treasured you all." The anger dissipated like vapor.
The only one who was curious was the little girl. She did indeed have a good time but seeing her siblings not enjoying themselves. She decided to be the bigger girl.
A yelp came from her. Each of the others had to yelp as well. She seemed to pat his head to make sure that he did survive. That would become his turning point for disaster.
As the group left, the Ninth Realm Maintainer completely understood that he needed to be a bigger man. He felt lonely without those he loved. The only memory he could ever get was the beating from the woman and the death memorial.
Instead of allowing his maids to continue to degrade he decided to force them on. He knew what would happen. He did not want anyone to become scarred because of this action.
"Enjoy life with them.
Hurry you must join him.
I am too scarred to be of any more decent maids, hurry and join that group.
I have enjoyed your company for so long that I truly need you to leave with them. I do not want this bad memory being etched into your mind." These statements were told to the many maids living with him.
All but one butler and maid decided to join the group. Rex and War God were stunned. For now, they decided to keep this group.
"We are too old to keep up with the young." The maid said looking in her thirties.
"Besides, we have to keep our end of the agreement. We have not yet fulfilled the 'To Death' agreement." The butler said looking like he was forty.
The Ninth Realm Maintainer opened a portal and two contracts were in front of him. He wrote on both of them, 'fulfilled', and with that a binding broke on them.
"Allow me to tell you both, I want you to leave. I will become a man scarier than the scariest dragon. I wish that neither one of you has to see it." The Ninth Realm Maintainer told them.
"If you pose a desire to die, we can at least help grant it to you. If you desire force to make stress go away, we will gladly offer no resistance." The maid replied happily.
"If you need every bone broken everyday to maintain composure, I will gladly break every bone. If you want poison flushed down your throat, I have over nine hundred kinds to fulfill your wish. I can and will do more because I have seen you fight for the greatest effort and seen you at the weakest point." The butler replied.
The Ninth Realm Maintainer felt more relaxed with them. This would allow him to make sure that the woman who betrayed him suffer even more through her reincarnations.
Meanwhile
"We had almost every maid and butler join us." Rex spoke.
Their group of well dressed maids and butlers, on top of the normal group.
"See. You always feel depressed for the bad things. Sometimes even the worst of times brings glorious virtues!" War God smiled.
That smile seemed to radiate into Rex. He was trying his best to make sure that no one would truly be hurt. He would somehow found it miserable to find either another woman being near him or some grand adventure coming into play, if not both happening.
As the group transcended the mountain, it was too light almost as if the mountain was just an extremely tall hill.
The group did not how what to do or where to go. They all followed Rex. The leopards blended in well with the snow. Their eyes almost snow white as well.
They kept several other beasts away. The keen senses of the leopards could even growl at the snow. This kept underground beasts from trying anything funny.
Near the top of the mountain, a large beast was staring at Rex. Rex was not afraid. The maids and butlers all seemed to forget that Rex had to protect them now.
A massive rupture of Demonic Qi entered the snowy area, even the underground beasts quickly dispersed without returning. The beast tried to act like a puppy. Rex glared angrily at the beast.
As the old saying goes, "If I can't beat them, join them." The beast tried to show that it accepted Rex as a new Master.
The little girl leopard did not want the foul beast in front of her to join Rex's side. He bent down and patted her.
"Arise." Rex spoke in Demonic.
The beast did so and replied, "Demon King Rex, I am unloyal to not notice your appearance. I am the Demonic Sacred Beast Cereberus."
Rex was stunned that the beast was so casual in telling who it is. That would begin their journey and finding more powerful beasts to help with the War.
