The tension in the air was filled with curiosity at first. When the snow leopards came in, the Ninth Realm Maintainer could not contain his happiness in seeing them.
The snow leopards felt conflicted. It seemed like he was being genuine while the person who cursed them out was nowhere to be found. This made them worried.
"You all do not need to be afraid." The Ninth Realm Maintainer told them.
While he was talking the tension turned into love. Rex was surprised to feel the gentleness of the Ninth Realm Maintainer. He knew it was because of the snow leopards.
He showed the group of the clip of how the family was treated. Everyone was upset buy something bugged Rex about it.
"That woman will no longer bother any of you." The Ninth Realm Maintainer told them.
The snow leopards were confused. Why would she appear but she could not be smelt?
"She will forever be tormented." The Ninth Realm Maintainer told them.
As the group felt that sincere words, Rex was even more worried about the person. He could tell that he was breaking slowly.
"Is there a reason why you truly need to break the family ties again?" Rex asked.
The Ninth Realm Maintainer looked at Rex. He knew how powerful he was. The Ninth Realm Maintainer could not afford to anger. The truth would hurt but it was not worth losing the only family he ever truly loved again.
"I had her come in after confirming that she was a good Soul. Yet, a traitorous being lives inside every person, and that caused me to realize how she was treating my family. When I returned from a deep meeting, I could not find the Leopards of Grazzee. They live in the deepest reaches of the frozen tundra several worlds away. I got the parents in a friendship and love relationship. That person died after handing me the beasts. I made sure to properly raise them.
Even being in different tundras, the leopards actually were able to help keep the peace here in this tundra. Yet, the family could only grow to live in this castle. So that is why the youngest is the only girl. The rest boys and protect her until one mate is chosen or multiple mates are chosen. The female is the ruler of the family. At least until she gives birth, then the male gets a power boost of sorts."
Rex found it funny that the little one was the first one to actually accept his help. His luck with women was so great that even little animal girls wanted to be his first in line.
War God slightly chuckled. Rex was not pleased but knew what War God found funny. He would have chuckled if not in his presence. As the Ninth Realm Maintainer asked what was funny.
War God began to explain. The Ninth Realm Maintainer too knew the power of the little daughter. What he did not know was that the family considered her the true treasure and was about to slaughter Rex in the night if anything funny happened.
Rex felt the little leopards rub against the shin of his right leg. He gently bent down and raised the girl up.
"Do you want to go back?" Rex asked her.
She looked to see where Rex's arm pointed to. She saw the sadness of the man and knew how much he cared. She did not care and would have enjoyed the fruits of having Rex has their new guardian.
She gave a sad look. This told the Ninth Realm Maintainer what he needed to know. He bowed and asked the group to leave the room.
He sat down in a chair. Rex came over and placed the girl leopard in his lap.
"At least allow him to show his love one last time you all. That is all that I ask and we will leave." Rex told the leopards.
The leopards decided that they could sit and enjoy his company under angered conditions. A clip of the family came upon them. A song that seemed to bring up bad memories for the Ninth Realm Maintainer entered his mind.
"Like peaceful memories those who will strive will always be remembered. Unlike evil memories, those do not want to be remembered. A song reflecting peaceful memories will always be ready to come forth.
A song worthy of deeming a man can always be found. Which will you ever choose to become remember to sing the chorus twice.
A song reflecting peaceful memories will always be ready to come forth. A song reflecting peaceful will always be ready to come forth." Tears ran down his face as he sung that short song, more like he cried words out, nonetheless.
A peaceful memory entered his mind as he remembered how precious their parents were. The new found sadness in the leopards could be seen.
They understand how much they meant to him. Something told them that it is time to allow Rex to guide them. Guiding them would be hard but the amount of precious memories would overjoy the family.
Rex listened to the song. He too teared up how peaceful the song was sung. He wanted to get a copy of it to be sung if he ever died. This would be his favorite song until he would die for now on.
A song reflecting peaceful will always be ready to come forth." Rex tried to sing it like him.
War God said the tears within Rex's eyes. She came up and asked, "Is there a reason why you wanted the leopards to stay with him?" She wiped the tears out of his eyes.
