A pleasant look came upon La Vie. She could already tell that this woman was someone worth using as a Battle Maid. She was still not as excited as some others were.
"This is will be interesting!" Iris excitedly thought.
"Just get it over with and let us continue." Violet thought.
Liz had problems with it but decided to wait until her thoughts were just.
Amber and Margaret both wondered if she would take their place. That would be for another time.
The daughters were excited because of their mother willingly became a Battle Maid. They would have a chance through her.
"Dear Battle Maiden, this is technically your decision because she will be under you. Whatever decision you make, you live with it. I can help give you some advice however whatever happens will always fall on you." Rex told La Vie.
Upon hearing that Rex himself would not choose his own Battle Maids. This sent a shiver down the spines of the daughters. There was no way that they would have a chance.
"What qualifications do you have to become a member of my Master's Battle Maids?" La Vie asked.
"First, it was I who fought with Rex and destroyed the Fifth Realm. Second, this will be my atonement for doing such evil things. Lastly, I am the current War God." She spoke.
The nerves of the daughters were at a all time high. There was no point in hiding them because everyone could honestly tell that they were hoping for a miracle to happen.
"Then under those qualifications. I do not believe that you are worthy of being a Battle Maid. However, I will ask for advice to see what the Master says." La Vie spoke her decision.
A feeling of dread came over the daughters. There only chance to be with Rex was now as good as gone. Rex did have other plans for the group.
"Master, your thoughts?" La Vie whispered.
"She is truly someone worth having." Rex told La Vie.
La Vie had to make the hard choice. Her instincts were telling her no yet her Master said yes. A moment of clarity came upon La Vie.
"You said that this is atonement for destroying the Fifth Realm, did you not?" La Vie asked.
"I did." She replied immediately.
La Vie then understood why she was hesitant. Her karma was already solid yet this one shook the foundation of hers. If she tried and got denied, that could hurt not only her but her karma. If she got accepted and left, her karma could be salvaged.
"Right now. I will still say that you are not a true Battle Maid. However, due to the affects of karma. I will allow you to be a temporary Battle Maid until we have fully grasped if your karma is affected or not." La Vie said her final decision.
It was not the best outcome but rather the most sensible one. If War God's karma was truly affected, it was only a matter of time before it crumbles away completely.
"How will be able to know if my karma has been affected or not?" The War God asked.
"We will pluck one of your hairs and use Qi Fire to judge the glow on it. The color on it will determine the actual karma on you." La Vie answered.
Everyone was confused. Shouldn't she have said Fire Qi and not Qi Fire?
"What is Qi Fire?" Liz asked.
She had seen a person in a book a long time ago being on fire and not burning. The person called it Qi Fire but there were no other records of it.
"Qi Fire is similar yet opposite of Fire Qi. Where Fire Qi you have to provide the amount of Qi to produce the ball of fire. The Qi Fire just naturally accepts what you have. You still have to start the process the same." La Vie said.
This still confused the group. It did not go through the way La Vie intended it to.
"Seeing that you all are still confused. I will give an explanation that could be better.
You are out in the wilderness, you are afraid of using your Qi to start a fire. You use your outdoors training to start the fire. This is the way Fire Qi is."
Everyone nodded and accepted that.
"Now, you are in the wilderness, you are afraid that even starting the fire will cause people to come to you. By using Qi Fire, you will not only be protected by it no one also can sense it unless they too use that Qi."
The realization hit them. This type is an advanced type of Qi and is extremely hard to master.
"Although mastering this style of Qi is not hard. It becomes hard to naturally use Fire Qi instead of Qi Fire on a normal basis. This is why most people do not train with it." La Vie finished.
Now that everyone was on board with the Qi Fire. The others wondered if they too could meld it with their type of Qi.
"Can Qi Water be used as well? Or is it dependent on the user?" Iris asked.
"Before we delve into the deeper Qi types. Everyone will have to learn the Qi Fire. It will be harder for those who do not have the Fire Qi but it will be more rewarding than someone who does have it.
As far as the extra Qi types, yes everyone can learn how to use whatever type they want. For instance, a Fire Qi user would either learn Qi Nature or Qi Water to stop a Water Qi user. One can only Master the Qi Fire and one other type. The reason for Qi Fire is to be able to read others karma.
One must either be with the party for at least three years or advance into the next Realm with the party. This is why she is temporary a Battle Maid." La Vie finished.
The group became anxious to ascend into the next Realm.
