As the old man and Rex began to stare at each other. The mother and daughter combo were afraid of what was about to happen.
The guards naturally all agreed to protect the two women. Even if they were to die, they still knew that their loyalty was to the Royalty in the Ninth Realm.
As the clash began the amount of swings that each person was doing slowly climbed to almost a thousand within a minute. By the time two minutes came around thousands of clashes with the daggers had happened.
Neither one taking a step forward or backward, neither one trying to make the other slip up, neither one forcibly kicking each other, and both people's eyes were like eagles.
Focusing in just the right moment that a swing did not go just right. That moment came when the time reached three minutes and twenty seconds.
The dagger in the old man's hand slipped back by just a tiny amount. Rex immediately used everything used a burst strategy to quickly take that arm out.
He was successful. The old man's left arm became unstable and unusable with the next hundred strikes.
Rex tried to knock the other dagger out of his hand immediately. The movement of the mother caused both men to jump backwards immediately.
"Father," the woman cried.
She held unto him because she knew how fragile his life currently was. The father gently hugged her daughter. The biggest issue with the entire situation was with the daughter.
She wanted to try and help but the guards were more focused on her rather than her mother. Simply because the King himself does not want her anymore.
"Come on, daughter. Allow me to finish what I started." The old man said.
"Father, you are about to die. Why would I allow him to do anymore?" She cried speaking.
The father could not help but admire his daughter and her knowledge. He finally decided to put his trust into Rex.
"Dearest Demon King, do me a favor will you?" He asked.
Rex nodded.
"Good. If it means fighting the current king of the Nine Realms or forcing these two into your bed. Whatever it takes, make sure that they are protected. As a father and grandfather, I trust them to be in your protection."
Rex walked over with his daggers in hand. The guards were alarmed about how they should handle the situation.
Rex kneeled down while watching the old man. He placed his daggers on the ground.
"Warning by placing the daggers on the ground you are attempting to break the contract with them!"
"Did Host wish to break contract?"
[Y/N)
Rex gently pried the mother away. Holding her in his hands. The daggers felt remorse for thinking about the contract being broken.
"My dearest daughter, please make sure to give birth to another wonderful child please?" The old man said.
"Only if you survive long enough to see the child." She replied honestly.
She was not ready for her father to die. The old man knew how much longer he did have.
"My granddaughter please come forward." He asked.
She ran to him and hugged him tighter than her mother. He gave her a kiss on the forehead. He began to simply hum a tune of peacefulness.
"Warning the man in front of you will explode in two minutes."
"Not under my watch." Rex thought.
When the timer turned to twenty-one seconds. Rex went over and gently pried the girl away and faced the man.
"Sorry, but your plans have failed." Rex said.
Rex released a tiny amount of Heavenly Qi to stop the bomb inside the old man's heart. This caused the man to be grateful.
"No one ever knew about that. How did you?" The old man asked.
"Because of a story that I once heard." Rex said.
The old man laughed and replied, "Let us all hear that story then."
Rex began to recount what should have happened. How someone comes up and gets the legendary daggers to the fact that the mother died. Anger and confusion fueled the crowd as the Queen would die.
When the daughter gets the daggers. She would try to train hard but failed because her might was not completely in fighting. She did train to avenge her mother's death caused by the current King.
The current King and daughter would fight literally for the throne for no telling how long. Neither side would fight head-on instead through shadows and people control.
Since no one could get an advantage over the other. They would split the Nine Realms and fight for dominance that way.
Rex was unsure if that would be the way to end the story because he himself was not sure of it.
As the group listened, the guards slowly became more inclined to believe Rex and trust his words. As for the mother, she knew how her husband had been treating her. She did not expect to die by his hands.
As for the daughter, she decided to allow Rex to do as he pleases with her. As long as the Demon Army would be on her side.
As for the old man, he ultimately knew that he made the right decision in trusting Rex. A bird entered the cavern and Rex saw that it was the current King looking at the situation inside the cave.
Rex pointed to the bird and killed it. The King got a good look at Rex. From that moment on, the Ninth Realm would prepare for war against Rex.
Even the Big Three Sects would get asked. The answer was no when the etching of Rex was shown to the wives of the Big Three Leaders.
Even parts of the Eighth Realm would join in. When the majority declined, the King could do nothing because of the Oracle and the Big Three Sects.
The King would regret making an enemy out of Rex. When the war would be finished, Rex would gain the title of Saint within the Nine Mortal Realms.
