Chapter 424 - Chapter 423 The wish pt 2

When the merchant got close to the dragons. A cat appeared extremely wounded and barely alive. The anger in its eyes flashed as it saw a human.

It changed quickly when it saw the human was holding a glimpse of hope in its eyes. The cat knew what was going to happen.

'Rawww'

The merchant stopped and tried to find where the beast was. It approached the bushes, it saw a slight shake. The merchant hoped that his life would end right there.

When the wounded cat appeared. It was different than most. The wounds on the side were fresh, the lost of life in its eyes, and the once blonde fur now coated in bright blood.

The merchant squatted down. The cat now fully ready to accept the human as a fellow hoper, put its paw on the merchant's shoulder.

"Human the dragons will not listen. Do not try to enter there." The cat said.

"I have already lost everything. I just want to see the dragon who killed my daughter to try and break a scale from it." The merchant replied.

Since he had begun his journey to the dragons. The merchant slowly felt his daughter had already been killed by a dragon or tossed into a mountain to be burned into ash.

The cat was pleased to hear what the human said. It needed a push to make the human trust it instead of fearing it.

"Have you heard of a jewel called a Spirit Totel?" The cat asked.

The merchant revealed a massive shocked face. It did not think that the cats knew about the jewel.

"I am full of surprises aren't I? Well, if the two of us share a Spirit Totel. We both can actually use the wish together. If the wish from both of us is the same. The jewel will increase the strength of the wish." The cat replied happily.

The merchant thought hard about it. It did want to deal with a cat in this matter but a Spirit Totel was needed to make changes in this world.

"I will help you." The merchant replied.

"Our wish what shall it be?" The cat purred.

"To have a being able to help who its to and still have authority to fight the dragons and fairies if needed." The merchant replied with his now bloodied right fist.

The cat was going to use what little intelligence it had learned from the dragons and fairies. What was needed was a singular person to wipe out the humans and fight against the fairies and dragons.

"What a blessing in disguise." The cat purred without its paw on the merchant's shoulder.

The merchant wrapped the cat up. The merchant needed the cat to help make the wish come true.

While both were going to use the same wish. The cat had more evil intentions. Whereas, the merchant had more protective intentions.

The problem was the merchant never went to the dragons. The dragons had not killed his daughter yet. When the daughter would see her father again, it would try to help the dragons win a war.

The plan took nearly a year to finish. The merchant used all of his currency and savings. He had even sold his finest clothes for begger's and sold the business to the Baron family.

The merchant went out on a journey. A journey to find a single Spirit Totel. When the journey ended, a massive smile formed on the face of the merchant.

It had nearly been six months of cold weather to do this journey. The journey was about to warm up and become a bloody mess.

The merchant had already killed beasts to survive. He ate the meat, the heart, and even sometimes the tongue.

He had to find a Spirit Totel. A dungeon that makes a single wish come true upon entrance came into view for the merchant.

This was different from the Spirit Totel, this was actually I who sensed the wish from the merchant's Soul.

I also sensed the danger in concluding with the cat. I had no physical body. I could use the duo to help make my former body. This was truly a win-win for all of us.

I already had the ability to control the dog-like creatures. I already had enough power to force the fairies and dragons down if needed.

Their hearts needed to be cleared of all things. That was the hardest thing to do. I sent visions of happiness and showed what would happen if the merchant still concluded with the cat.

The merchant did not believe in the visions. I stood before him one last time. When I truly revealed myself, the merchant became scared.

Upon hearing my request, the merchant agreed. He used the wish immediately. There was a problem. The cat had already known about the betrayal of the human.

How? Not even I know. When the next morning came. The cat had used a divinity bite to take control of the body.

Since it wanted a war with the dragons and fairies. It started the war. When the merchant and I tried to fight against the cat. It used divinity to fight back.

Thus this started a war among the three of us. When the outside humans, fairies, and dragons all saw this. They too began to fight against all cats.

Cruel cries of the cats were heard. This helped made the other cat weaker but it still refrained from dying. No matter what happened, the three of us still had a stalemate.

Until the merchant saw when the cat tried to attack a dragon. His daughter was still alive. A joy so profound exited the merchant that he made the cat regret trying to trick him.

The merchant held the cats body above his. He cried a happy face. His final words forever engraved into the depths of the Dark Abyss.

"Kill me and the cats. If any try to harm my little girl make their life a living hell."

Little did I know that those words would make even the fairies help the poor daughter. When her time in life was up. She wanted one thing.

"Can I see the look on my father's face when he died again? I too want to have that smile like he did." She replied.

A painting of it was made through her wish. When she finally died. She had the same smile on her face.

A disguised cursed was placed upon that smile. It was the smile to forever hold in place the depths of true betrayal.
