Rex approached the mountains. He felt his anxiety get better until he saw the top. It was then that the anxiety he almost got rid fully manifested.
"I hope she understands or at least acknowledges the reasoning why the worst case scenario goes off." Rex felt bad in his thoughts.
He marched forward. He would rather get the deed done with than wait and feel worst after.
When the top got reached, a happy yelp came from down below. Looking below, a shadow covered the pond with fish but the fish seemed to enjoy the shadow much more than climbing the waterfalls.
"Perhaps it is her good nature revealing itself." Rex inwardly smile.
He began to slide down the mountain on a broken tree.He finally made it down and a smile that warmed his heart was seen.
"That is truly a beautiful smile." Rex voiced his thoughts.
"Trying to make me feel good before we birth our child." The Shadow Calamity replied.
Red just smiled it off. He had to ready himself for the news that needed to be spoken.
"There is something I must say." Rex said.
All attention was forwarded to Rex. Even the fish seemed to stare at Rex.
"About our child, if he or she starts to act like a bandit. We will have to kill it. This is to protect not only this City but the entire Realm." Rex spoke and his heart nearly broke at the end.
The Shadow Calamity did not seem to care in the slightest. Rex was worried that something was wrong.
"Did I say anything wrong?" Rex asked.
The Shadow Calamity smiled. Rex was afraid of what her reaction was going to be.
"So what happens if that child does not fit to the criteria here? Will we try again or am I just going to be tossed like a rag?" The Shadow Calamity calmly asked.
Rex knew that this decision was not part of the deal. He was going to make sure that she understood this.
"You will not be abandoned. I cannot say for sure that we will try again. I at least would like to try to. I allow the women close to me voice their opinions on matters like this." Rex said.
The Shadow Calamity just chuckled. Rex was honestly to upset to know what to do.
"So those women were telling the truth. I am glad to have such a warm man like yourself. The Shadow Worlds are truly boring. Predators are people who control others and prey are the ones who allow themselves to be prey upon.
I will tell a secret about the Shadow World's. Each world has a powerful entity in the core of it. For the one you had visited, a dragon going by the name of Tiimmaat, I believe, was sealed there because the people were to afraid that she would cause massive destruction to the world.
If any of those creatures are allowed to enter the Shadows in those worlds. The Shadow People inside would forever be annihilated. Their presence brings back power and solitude to those worlds." The Shadow Calamity finished.
Rex took a breath, "Would you die if I release the dragon?"
The Shadow Calamity was shocked to hear such a question. She did not realize how much Rex cared.
"Only if you die, will I die. If you choose for me to die, I will die. That is the fate that I have." The Shadow Calamity replied.
Rex took quite breath and decided.
"I will return there. I know since there are others. I will not be able to stop all of them, at least I can spare a few worlds from having such power in their deposits." Rex answered.
"When you are ready, I can summon a portal close to their but it will attract too much attention. You would have to move fast or be extremely stealthy. The Shadows in those areas are extremely powerful and cannot be destroyed by just any element. It has to be a pure Holy type of element." The Shadow Calamity replied.
Rex's hopes got up and his anxiety was gone. He was ready for a challenge and this was going to be the one. He had to prepare the Holy Qi he has.
"I greatly appreciate the words of advice. So what do we need to do to try and have this child?" Rex asked.
The Shadow Calamity rolled on her back.
"You must inject your Will into the depths of my Shadow. That Will makes the conscience of that child. Beware, any falter and the baby can become what you do not want." The Shadow Calamity replied.
Rex was not prepared and wanted to try a test first.
"There will not be a baby right now. I do want to see what will happen if my Will is disrupted." Rex asked.
"Go on ahead. I have to stay like this for a month anyways now. As long as you are ready within that time frame. The baby will be fine. If I have to reenter this position within a small time frame of leaving it. My Will can be disturbed and cause massive damage to your Will and even make you a Shadow." The Shadow Calamity answered.
Rex closed his eyes and placed his hand on the stomach of the Shadow Calamity. Instantly, he jerked his hand back and began puking. His entire body rejected whatever the Shadow was and he did not even try to go into the depths.
After puking for twenty minutes. Rex slowly made his way to a fresh spot and laid down. His breath stinking of not only the food he had ate but of Qi. The Qi was an ounce of the Shadow Mana.
"WARNING SHADOW MANA IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR YOU. IF ANOTHER ATTEMPT IS MADE, YOUR LIFE WILL BE ENDANGERED!" Red flashes of this appeared before Rex's eyes before he passed out.
"I wish I could yell. Since no is around and my voice will not reach. How will Rex wake up?" The Shadow Calamity thought.
This thought transferred to the Nine Tailed Queen who instantly dashed towards the mountains.
