Once the group found the Stairway. The began the descent. Normally, one could just speak when you have not yet reached the next cultivation realm. Since the dragons were having to have their cultivation locked.
This made the journey much longer and harder.
"Can we please just get out?" One of the dragons asked.
"Not until you have reached the Stairway for the Third Realm. If you wish to be reborn as any kind of inferior creature, than by all means jump into oblivion." A voice echoed.
The dragons immediately shut their mouths. They kept their anger inside their hearts. That was not enough to satisfy the Stairway.
"Dragons are indeed powerful but they lack the fortitude to endure. Let this be a warning and blessing. Journeys are about life and death. What happens in-between makes your life special." The voice echoed.
The dragons understood the meaning. For they had not journeyed like this before. Since carrying their future brothers and sisters were on their back.
If anyone of them got hurt or worst. The burden would increase on the others. Ophiuchus was not worried in the slightest. She had already sealed most of her strength beforehand. So that when this time came, it would have been easier.
Rex was quiet too quiet for the women. They knew that this was part of the journey that the voice was talking about.
Once the descention finished, and the group entered the Third Realm. Rex took a breath and was disturbed at the difference between the Third and Fourth Realm air.
"Such is life." Rex thought.
The women noticed Rex was sad. They did not understand why. The group hurried across the Third Realm. When they finally arrived at the City of Eden.
People were buzzing with excitement.
"Cheers to our leader!"
The crowds began to gather around. Rex was happy to be the leader but he knew the time for war was coming fast and heavy.
In part of the city that was not yet ready for civilization. Nephelem was watching his students tear the ground apart using Bone Spikes. Nephelem was proud that his students were doing good.
Ophiuchus and Rex both went to see Nephelem before the crowds got to heavy. Iris and Liz were angered that they got left behind to deal with them.
When the duo arrived Johnny waved at them. Rex knew that was Nephelem. The duo walked and watched as an Angelic Warrior and a Two Tailed Fox both exhaust themselves using the Bone Spikes.
Before Nephelem could force them to go farther.
"You two did a marvelous job today. Go rest up because your training will be harder tomorrow." Rex said.
The duo were happy to be thanked by Rex. The duo hurried to their home to explain how happy they were.
Johnny guides the duo to his house. Rex was already exhausted from just seeing the crowds. He remembered how much harder it could be.
The group rested for an hour before Rex got down to business.
"I have a serious matter to explain." Rex said.
Ophiuchus perked up and was ready to listen to Rex. Johnny went around and sat down awaiting what Rex had to say.
Rex clenched his fist. He knew that the order he was about to give was the worst order he could possibly give.
"Nephelem, I order you to use the dead bodies in the upcoming war to cause mass casualties. That order only goes online if we are severely outnumbered and outclassed." Rex commanded.
The Ophiuchus and Nephelem looked at each other. They knew the burden of having to tell this order.
"Are you positive you want this order to go?" Nephelem asked.
"No. I do not want this order to go through. I want to shoulder all the burden myself and keep everything and everyone safe. I already know they will start a charge even if I were to not explain everything." Rex said with tears in his eyes.
Nephelem went over and hugged Rex. He knew the burden of this was one that needed to be shared.
"Such a kind Soul has to make harsh decisions. I hope that no bodies will have to be used. I will only use it if necessary. I keep my vow not to allow my two students to bear the burden of using the dead bodies of their family, friends, neighbors, and future people living here." Johnny said.
Tears of happiness poured out of Rex. He was proud to have such a person around him. He knew how bad it was to deal with Nephelem through rumors and slight sight of him. He never knew that he was truly a good willed person.
"Ophiuchus, I will need gravemarkers made so that everyone participating can have a gravestone. I will make the young men of every race fight and give them an opportunity to leave behind a legacy to forever hold dear to them in my city." Rex's tears kept rolling out harder than before.
"I need to know that they will be done before the end of the year." Rex poured his heart out into this sentence.
"They will and they will be made out of gold." Ophiuchus said.
Rex felt that the preparation needed to be done was done. Rex knew the news would devastate the others if they knew.
Ophiuchus and Nephelem vowed silently to keep the order a secret until it was time. Even if the war made Nephelem use the bodies of the fallen comrades. He was not going to go all out and use every corspe if he could help it.
A book floated towards Rex. It landed in his lap. Rex opened it to see the training that the Nine Tailed Fox was doing. Rex was happy.
The tears came rolling out still.
Bella and the two vampire maids watched with a keen gaze to see and hear what Rex was saying. They could not hear or make out what he was saying.
They knew that whatever was said would not be repeated. This made them feel dreary. The trio kept moving around doing chores.
