Several small towns and villages received word that a few kingdoms were marching towards Eden. They were afraid of demihumans gathering together.
"Forward!" Several captains ordered their men.
Cultivators and mortals alike marched towards Eden. The Cultivators dressed in fine clothing and jewelry for this war.
The mortals dressee in rags and received dirty water for just joining the war. Most were forced and had their families injured or killed. A couple had their children imprisoned for slavery unless they joined.
"I should have died. My child needs better." One mortals man thought.
He continued the March and gave his dirty water to others. Cultivators spit in his face for even doing such a thing. His captain beat him an entire night.
He was forced to lead the march wounded. The other captains laughed as his water was spilt on the ground. The man doing his best to keep going for his child.
Finally, Eden came in sight. The captains all circled the town. Two distinct figures could be seen.
Ophiuchus and Nephelem. Nephelem already saw the mortals and wanted to save them. Ophiuchus wanted the captains to know fear.
Without wasting a moment, a bell rang in the city. Iris had already known about this. She began to ring the bell.
Ophiuchus went and slaughtered the captains. Nephelem went to face the cultivators.
"Mortals, if you wish to have safety lay down your weapons and join the city. If you wish for death , I will grant it." Rex said.
He walked out with a black cloak and carrying two distinct axes. These were the common axes in the Third Realm.
The cultivators charged at Rex. They fell quickly and swiftly. The mortals fell in fear expect for the man whose child he wanted to save.
Finally, only the mortals were left. The singular man came forth. He held his weapon in his hand.
"For my child that needs better!" He cheered.
Rex felt that this was his determination. Rex did not charge at the man. Instead, he dropped his weapons.
He faced the man with his bare fists. The mortal man did everything in his power to try and hit Rex, if only once. Nothing could beat the fact that Rex was too powerful.
The man did not want anything to be left to chance. He tried changing weapons and charged again.
The other mortals in the army knew it was pointless. The man had suffered greatly and knew that this was his only chance.
Again, he failed to hit Rex. Tears of sorrow fell from his face. Before Rex could do anything. A red glow appeared on the man's chest.
"For my child." The man declared again.
With one final attempt, he tried to hit Rex. Rex punched the spot that glowed red. A cracking sound was heard.
A shatter happened afterward. The other mortals began to glow red.
Rex swiftly went to save as many as possible. He would destroy whatever was inside of them and toss them to Nephelem and Ophiuchus.
Iris and Liz both came afterward. They began trying to save as many as well. With too many people trying to be saved. Rex knew deep down there was only one was to do it.
He finally gathered the courage to do it. With a clap of his hands, a surge of Godly Qi went through all the people.
Rex only targeted the thing that made a red glow. Nearly every mortal got saved from the red glow.
The dead cultivators began to glow red. Rex threw the bodies high into the air. A sudden explosion filled the sky dark red. Blood began to fall down.
Nephelem was glad that this skirmish was over. He felt that this was too easy for a victory.
In the kingdoms
Women and children were hung up naked and beat for their husband's and father's betrayal. Many of them were forced to enter brothels because their wombs were damaged in the beatings. The children forced to drink dirty water and eat swine food.
Nobles laughed and passed on these people. Friends and neighbors could do nothing to stop this.
Word came back to Rex. He felt so disgusted with the human kingdoms that he declared war against all of them by himself.
Nobles were forced to strap their horses together and lead their cultivators and mortals to the spot.
A singular man stood in the front. Behind him were several others taking footage of the upcoming war.
"TAKE THE WOMEN! SCREW THEM TO YOUR HEARTS' DESIRE! MAKE THE MEN FOREVER BE DEFECTIVE!" A Noble declared.
His men charged first and were blood thirsty.
Rex swung one axe sideways and killed every cultivator and mortal from that Noble.
The Noble was so shocked that he did not even noticed that his horse had also been killed.
He looked down and saw a spear going through his chest. Dark red color could be seen coming from his wound and mouth. The Noble looked up and thought he saw a demon coming forward.
The Noble knew that the human kingdoms had been completely done for. With that thought in his mind, he died.
Mortals saw the Noble die with his eyes open. They felt that this was unnatural. Fear began to shake them to their core.
"DO NOT FALTER! A SINGLE CULTIVATOR CANNOT STAND AGAINST ALL OF US IF WE ATTACK TOGETHER!" Several Nobles yelled.
The cultivators charged first. They began to get crushed and heads chopped off. The mortals knew that whoever they angered was completely off the normal charts.
The war went for three days. The final Noble and cultivator died. All that was left was to destroy the kings and queens that ruled those kingdoms.
The mortals afraid that Rex would kill them. Bowed their heads on dead bodies, cut up pieces of bodies, and blood depending where each man was.
Rex continued the journey forward. The carnage he felt behind was shown to the Beastmen living in Eden. This was to prove that anyone living here was worthy of living here.
Everyone else was either forced to stay out or become slaves in the city. Even the One Tailed Foxes felt that Rex was too cruel to his enemies. Rex assured them that his cruelty was nothing compared to others.
This war made everyone know that the calamity coming was not just for show and talk but a serious matter that needed to be taken seriously.
With just seven months left before the showdown. Rex hardened his heart for the war that would forever change the landscape.
