The duo just walked away. They were not happy in the slightest. Rex had not seen what the consequences of them not doing the Soul Mate was.
As people looked into their eyes. They saw that this was a political marriage. This saddened their mood. That did not stop the festivities afterward.
People cheered up during this. Even Shouka and Lillian both felt that the festivities afterward were good. They cheered them on with everyone else.
This started to stir happiness from everyone.
"We will have to talk once we are alone." Shouka whispered.
"Of course." Lillian replied.
The festivities were grand at the end. Rex went with his women and danced with them. This made everyone began dancing.
Lillian whispered, "I am going to talk to Rex."
Shouka stopped his dance early. The duo bowed to each other.
Rex approached the climax of his dance. When he did, Lillian bowed and asked for a dance herself.
Amber, who was currently dancing was angered, decided to step aside and let her dance with Rex.
The duo began their dance. Lillian wanted a fast pace dance. Rex took the control and danced slowly. He kept looking directly into her eyes. This made her uncomfortable at first.
She was not sure why he was. The duo began to dance a little faster. Lillian kept up with Rex. She did not keep looking directly at his eyes. Instead she focused on his chest.
She felt sorrow for not being able to ultimately repay the debt she thought she owned. As their dance continued, she felt that she no longer needed to hold her feelings back.
"What I wanted was a way to repay you with my body. Now I will never get a chance to do so because of the Soul Mate. Why did you force this in the long run?" Lillian whispered.
"A chance for me to achieve greatness with the women who I cherish and who cherishes me. It may have been for the wrong reasons for your Soul Mate. I will always put the women who I cherish first. I know I will hurt their feelings, crush their enemies, have happy moments, but they will know and do know that they are truly loved and thought of, even if I screw up." Rex whispered back.
The duo finished their dance.
Shouka came around and danced with Lillian. The duo got a standing applause and cheering afterward.
The newly Soul Mate couple bowed and replied, "Thank you neighbors and fellow townsfolk."
It soon became night. Everyone returned to their houses. Happiness still struck on everyone. Even Shouka and Lillian were happy currently.
The duo sat down in their house. Looked at each other. Their eyes showing the political marriage that they had done.
"Are you going to be happy?" Shouka asked.
"The answer will come with time. Currently, I am happy from the festivities with you." Lillian replied.
"Currently, I feel the same way. Do you wish for happiness to come to us? Or will you always try to hate what we saw in the process?" Shouka asked.
"Happiness comes in many ways. We will find happiness but will it be permanent or temporary? I do not know. I will hate what I saw in the process for a while, for how long I do not know. One thing is certain about it. I vow to keep what we saw a secret. I hope you make this vow as well." Lillian said.
"I vow to keep what we saw in the Soul Mate process a secret or the heavens can tear this Soul Mate apart and utterly destroy my Soul." Shouka replied.
A sparkle of light floated down on Shouka. Since he promised this to the heavens. If he ever decided to talk about it. His Soul would be ripped for the Soul Mate and destroyed completely.
Lillian did not know how to respond to such a declaration. She had never heard anyone speak such words to the heavens.
"I vow to the heavens that if Shouka's Soul is destroyed by the heavens. To take revenge on all of the Nine Realms and destroy what I can." Lillian said.
A dark light entered Lillian. She felt agony like never before. She kept her teeth gritted. She was not going to let this take over.
When she looked up, she did not see Shouka but Mera and Mira.
"We blessed Rex to help you with a Soul Mate for his benefit. Now you want to ruin it because of his declaration? We will not let that happen. Your Soul will no longer be apart of this Nine Mortal Realms. Your Soul will belong to the filth that is in our garbage." Mera said.
"I agree." Mira said.
What looked like a trash can that had been sitting with trash for months, appeared before Lillian's Soul.
"So this is where I end up." An unpleasant feeling coursed through Lillian's Soul.
A pair of eyes that looked like it was coming up from the garbage appeared before Lillian. The two knew that this would be the end for Lillian.
A few moments beforehand
Rex got a notification.
"Save Lillian's Soul from Mera's and Mira's trash can pet."
"Reward: The ability to use Heaven's Knowledge on people."
Rex rushed to Shouka's and Lillian's house.
Before the being could devour Lillian. Rex stepped in and stopped the madness.
Mera and Mira both looked at Rex. They left once Lillian's Soul returned to her body.
"What happened?" Rex growled.
The duo shivered in fear. They did not know what to say.
"I will keep this a secret. Just tell me what it is that happened or I will force it out." Rex commanded.
His voice vibrated only the room they were in because of his Godly Qi. The duo were still reluctant to speak about what happened.
"Fine." Rex said.
He grabbed their skulls. Forcing his Heavenly and Godly Qi into them. He got to see the vows they made to the heavens. This news greatly upset Rex to the max.
