Chapter 300 - Chapter 299 The First Exploration pt 1

Several of the Foxmen started to talk and hangout with the Angelic Builders, after a week of finding their new neighbors. It took another two weeks before the Foxmen were ready to mingle at all.

Now that a month had passed and quite a few have good impressions on the Angelic Builders. They found solace that Rex was also a friend to them.

The Angelic Builders also found the Foxmen very nice. It was a rough start. They wanted to communicate and learn about then. There was nothing that could be done. Slowly over the weeks, both parties liked their neighbors. Rex was the happiest besides the Nine Tailed Fox.

The Nine Tailed Fox wanted her family to grow closer to their new neighbors sooner. Rex knew that it was impossible at first. He was glad that it was sooner than later.

During this time both parties helped in building the Adventure's Guild close to the Labyrinth of Unholy.

Rex went and sold a lot of stuff to make some money. He had to make a banking system inside for the time being. Once it became self-sufficient, Rex could leave it alone.

After three months of just helping the Fox Tribe build new houses from scratch, building the Adventure's Guild, helping the two races mingle, and spending a little time with the women. Rex was finally ready to enter the Labyrinth of Unholy with a team of Foxmen.

"Prepare everyone." Rex told the Nine Tailed Fox.

She went and got Tetsuo, Gyuki, and eight other Foxmen. They all entered the Adventurer's Guild together.

"First off," Rex announced, "Everyone write your name and type of Qi you use. Then write what weapons and shields are you use. Finally, exit to the training center."

Rex was seen opening a door that led outside in the back.

The Foxmen began to write on their piece of paper. Most of them did not understand what the sword and shield meant. They just ignored that part. Everything else was written down.

Iris and Liz stood on either side. They all exited at the same time. Bella and Violet led the group to an empty section of the training center.

The Nine Tailed Fox knowing her children got them the weapons and shields. Only three of them actually kept the shield though.

Most of them went for a lighter version of the weapon they were handed. Each of them started to swing their weapon until they were partially comfortable with it.

They got into pairs of two and did three basic swings at each other. Two basic swings to block and one to attack from a defender stance. Two attacks and a defend from an attacker stance.

Getting this routine down was harder than it looked. Each round they did, felt like their bodies were not meant to fight this way.

The only ones who could manage this way were Gyuki and Tetsuo. They helped out other pairs since they could use weapons and shields anyway.

The day came to a sudden stop near 3:00 in the afternoon. Rex had told everyone to go home and rest.

The eight Foxmen were so exhausted they nearly collapsed on each other. Rex knew that this would happen.

He wanted them to train hard and rest well. He kept this momentum going for two weeks. The first week was the hardest for them.

Two days into the training, Rex made them start moving their feet and twisting their bodies. That was not all.

On day four, Rex made them run around the training center before startup. This was to not only tire them out beforehand. To strengthen their running in case of emergencies.

Once everyone had finished the end of week two training. All of them had plenty of energy to continue the training even when it was finished.

The first day of week three. Rex went and would fight a pair in the morning and afternoon. This was to help their coordination in a fight. No one else was allowed to watch.

Even though Rex was harsh on them. Even when they were down, Rex forced then back up to fight. This hurt the four that had trained and felt good about their training.

The next day was the same. Everyone noticed how gloomy the first four were in the training center.

No one was allowed to talk about what had happened. This made the others nervous and worried.

The end of the second day came to a close. Rex continued the trend the next morning. When the afternoon came. Everyone understood each other's pain. The last duo was Gyuki and Tetsuo.

Rex had them fight seriously against him. Rex still found advantages to use. This dampened their mood greatly. They showed only dissatisfaction in their many loses.

"Good job everyone." Rex said once everyone ate lunch.

"You all have trained hard and experienced the hardship of fighting against an extremely powerful opponent with only one extra person. So, this afternoon all of you will fight against me. I will be fighting seriously."

This made all of them feel worst. Not only did they have to fight Rex again. They were showing how weak they were to everyone else.

"He can be such a lousy man." A vampire maid whispered to Bella.

"What you call lousy. I call being a great man. He is giving them a chance to showcase their weakness and strength to each other against a powerful enemy. That is why he is the Master." Bella replied.

The duo watched as the group exited. They had no spirit in them whatsoever. Everyone else understood that this was for the exploration of the Labyrinth.

In order to make the Adventurer's Guild work. All of them had to contribute to the future. That future is going back and forth at least three times a week.

In the event of an emergency, Gyuki and the other leaders would rush in. That would be for later.

In the training center Rex and the Nine Tailed Fox stood proud. Iris, Liz, Violet, Amber, and Margaret all stood on the side.

"THIS FIGHT IS FOR YOUR ENTRANCE INTO THE LABYRINTH OF UNHOLY. MAKE SURE THAT ANY HOPE OF FAILURE IS OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM BEFORE THE MATCH BEGINS." Rex yelled.

"My children, this fight is for not only that. To showcase that not all Beastman are equal. In order to do that, you must fight showing how strong you can be while at your weakest. No matter how strong each one is individually, all of you together will help overcome the weaknesses that each of you have."

Hearing what the leaders said. The other Foxmen laid down their weapons and huddled together.

No matter how quiet they were. Rex and the Nine Tailed Fox could hear the game plan. Rex pretended not to hear it. The Nine Tailed Fox just smiled seeing the Foxmen trying to come up with a game plan.
