When the Foxmen were ready. The three with the shields went up front. Gyuki and Tetsuo went behind them. Two who were deemed more long range attackers were behind Gyuki and Tetsuo. Three more Foxmen were close to the long range attackers from behind.
Seeing the ten man formation. Rex was honestly impressed. If Gyuki or Tetsuo needed to move in a direction, they could, or they could move together to help.
"SHOW ME THE FULL POWER!" Rex announced.
He charged in. The three with shields knew they were no match. They held their ground when Rex collided with the shields. He made sure not to over do it and destroy the shields.
Three Qi attacks came from behind the shields bearers. This made Rex instinctively want to avoid the attacks. Since he needed them to show everything they could. He jumped back like a normal opponent.
Tetsuo and Gyuki both charged at Rex from the left and right sides. Rex avoided the attacks and sent the two of them away. He needed the eight Foxmen to be able to be by themselves.
Feeling pressured, the eight Foxmen wanted to call it quits. A glance from the Nine Tailed Fox gave them more inspiration. The long range attackers now buffed the shields. They all released their tails in unison.
The group had two Four Tailed Foxes, four Five Tailed Foxes, one Six Tailed Fox and one Seven Tailed Fox.
A single Four Tailed Fox on the front and back side of the long range attackers. The other two one either side were Five Tailed Foxes.
The Six Tailed Fox could control Lightning, Earth, and Fire Qi with two tails a piece for each Qi type.
The Seven Tailed Fox could control Water Qi and Nature Qi with two tails a piece. A single tail for Wind Qi, a pink tail, and a black tail.
Rex was serious about the black tail the moment he saw it. It felt like Demonic Qi when he looked at it. Just a moment of glancing at it made the Foxmen launch an attack on Rex.
The Foxmen wanted the attacks to actually hit Rex. Since they had already seen how easily he could dodge the attacks. They wanted to hit a massive attack on him.
Rex started to dodge to the left and right. He was trying to wear out his opponents. A singular thunderbolt came from the sky crashing down on his head.
The Foxmen were proud to have gotten a hit on Rex. The was before they noticed the back line had already fallen.
The three up front cheered with their shields up in the air. The Six and Seven Tailed Foxes were upset because Rex was holding daggers on then.
Rex turned the Six and Seven Tailed Foxes around to show them their team knocked out. This made then two upset.
When the front line turned around. They saw Rex holding daggers at the long range attackers. The group held up their hands in surrender.
"Good job today." Rex told them.
Although the fight was short. Each of them were greatly impressed by each other. The Nine Tailed Fox was more happy than the others.
She could feel how happy they were to have fought well against Rex. Even though she had already been told how strong Rex was. She knew that he would not force them above their capabilities just yet.
"Rest well tomorrow. Because the day after, will be your first exploration in the Labyrinth of Unholy." Rex said before disappearing.
Knowing they still had a lot to work on. The group sat down and began strategically talking about how this formation had been a weak point for them.
Even though the first formation was a good one. They wanted to learn from their mistakes and try to make something better.
The group talked it over and found out their weak spots were the long range attackers and not enough front line.
Gyuki and Tetsuo said that it would be better to test it in the Labyrinth of Unholy.
Grabbing a few more Foxmen. The group tried their luck with multiple fights during the short amount of time they had. Even a couple of Angelic Warriors asked if they could participate.
The group found their formation worked good. They needed more time together and fighting experience.
None of the Foxmen tried to do anything the next day. They wanted to be better prepared for anything. With permission from Gyuki and Tetsuo, the group got two scouts.
This was to help them search the Labyrinth of Unholy for any singular monster or group of monsters.
They wanted to be extremely careful in there. The Foxmen also wanted to come out without any injury by not leaning on Rex's shoulders.
The scouts got accepted. The formation got explained to the scouts. Once the news that they only wanted a singular opponent and maybe two at the same time.
The group was in need of knowledge and the scouts accepted the proposal. Even though no one knew what the outcome would be.
By just being part of the first team to set in the Labyrinth of Unholy. All of them were excited during the day and worried about everything that night.
When the next morning came. A lot of tired Foxmen met Rex at the edge of the forest. Rex was honestly disappointed that none of them looked good. Red wanted to slap them. He held back the urge to because he needed them in good spirits.
Rex took them to get a good breakfast. He needed all of them better than what they looked. Once they had breakfast.
Rex began to talk about the Treants inside the Labyrinth of Unholy. He explained their weaknesses and strengths.
The group wrote it down and Rex told them to fight them using one of the strengths. This made them upset. Rex explained that this was for their benefit and learning more about it on the higher levels. The group understood. They made sure it was not going to be their first fight. Rex gladly accepted the proposal.
Rex led the group inside the Labyrinth of Unholy when they finished the proposal.
