In a barren land, there were only seven people standing around. No matter where they looked, it was just barren and dark.
"We need to see if there are any good items around." Amber announced.
"I do not sense any threatening creatures around or anything that can help us at all." The commander said.
"Alright, we move as a single group. Two in front and three in the back." Amber commanded.
The commander stood beside Amber, and two men went in front. They slowly began to move forward. Once they had three steps forward, Amber and the commander moved.
Once they had stepped three times. The three in the back moved. There was nothing that they could see.
No sky, no sun or moon, it seemed like they had teleported into a dark world. Within minutes of walking, several fire like lights could be seen.
"Is that a threat or just something to avoid?" Amber whispered.
"To be truthful, I honestly feel no threatening aura around them. Something that can threaten them is watching." The commander whispered.
"Men, move a little faster but maintain high security." Amber said.
Everyone moved slightly faster. It took what seemed like days to finally reach the fire like lights.
To their surprise, a mane that was on fire was in front of the group on a horse's back. The horses did not seem to care about the group. Instead, they were licked by scorching hot tongues.
Even their hair was chewed on by the horses. To Amber, it felt like she had honestly dumped her hair into a hot bucket of water. She patted the horse chewing on her hair.
It stopped and looked at Amber. The horse picked up Amber and carried her a little ways away.
The horse chewed on the bottom of her shirt. It managed to take it off of her and toss it behind itself.
The commander stopped going towards Amber when he felt that something amazing was happening.
The horse put its head directly on Amber's chest. Sensing the horse was wanting it to be felt. Amber hugged the horse.
When she hugged the horse back, she found that she had tamed the Firemane Horse. Not wanting its new master to be upset. It kept its body turned towards Amber's. It did not want anyone else to see its master's body.
Once it had picked up the shirt, it turned back around and had Amber put it back on. Once the shirt was on, the horse got down on its belly. It knew that Amber would need help getting on.
Amber hopped on the horse. The horse stood up proudly, declaring how good it was having a master.
Amber rubbed the mane. The mane felt refreshing to her. If she had not known she was riding a horse, she would have felt that she was in a hot spring filled with lilies.
The scent was soothing, and the mane felt comfortable to touch. Once the two rejoined the group.
Amber pointed to the commander. Amber knew that the horse was not pleased with allowing another person to ride on its back.
"Those five need to ride, too. Besides, he is watching my back." Amber spoke.
Hearing that the commander was watching its master's back. It lowered his head to the commander. It just sniffed of its hair trying to see if anything good smelt about the person.
The horse smelt a scent similar to its master's scent. Upon sniffing the others, it realized that a powerful being was helping these people.
It shook its head and stomped. The other horses all watched in the same manner. They were not thrilled with any of the men. That did not mean they would not help them.
The group got to ride on three Firemane horses. Of course, the sequence stayed the same in line.
Finally, the group arrived at a large arch. It had several different kinds of writing on it.
A dark, dreary green color became present. The horses stepped back.
Nothing happened for several minutes. Finally, a being presented itself.
"The Goddess of Phoenixes has awakened. Rejoice, Firemane Horses, for her chosen one is coming here."
The horses stomped and neighed together.
The dark, dreary green color slowly became a bluish, warm color.
In front of the group, Rex stepped out. He found himself in front of three Firemane Horses.
The strange thing about these horses to Rex was that they stood together. Closing his eyes, he focused on using Water Qi. He found the source of the reason behind the three horses staying together.
Approaching at high speed was a treant. The roots were destroying the land, and the bloodied teeth were not retracted.
"It is time to dine with death." Rex said.
He made a Water Sword with Water Qi. He darted towards the charging treant. The two clashed for a moment a short way away from everyone. Rex jumped back, and a singular swipe upward uprooted the treant with a water geyser.
Rex wanted to gather the wood. He saw that nothing had happened. He was greatly upset.
He wanted some of the wood that would come from the treants. He would also have to find the mine in here to get the wheels he needed.
The archway disappeared, and the group was afraid they would be stuck in here for a long time.
Rex had already felt several more treants heading their way. Rex stomped the ground several Water Swords appeared beside him.
"Water Technique: Dance of the Water Swords" Rex said.
The swords went towards their targets. Destroying all the treants instantly. Still, nothing was being dropped.
Rex found that leading the Firemane Horses easier than leading the Firemane Mustangs. He did not understand why. He finally found the mine.
Several giant spiders spit poison from inside the mine.
"Fire Technique: Burning Apocalypse"
The poison was instantly destroyed, and all the giant spiders and their webs were burnt to a crisp. Leaving only shallow skeletons on the ground.
The Firemane Horses could not enter the mine. That was fine with Rex. He wanted to see if he could see anything.
He only saw tree roots inside the cave. Rex knew that this mine was already devoured by the treants.
"Seems like dinner will come later today than usual." Rex said inside the mine.
