Rex and the Apex Elemental first went to where the Apex Flyer's layer was. The Apex Elemental did not know what Rex had planned, but he did not like it one bit.
"I hope this does not turn ugly." The Apex Elemental thought.
Rex went and entered the Apex Flyer's layer. He saw mountain ranges ranging from just basic foothills to mountain peaks touching the sky. A massive roar came from within.
"Greetings, Dear Apex Flyer. We have come to see if you also received a letter like ours." The Apex Elemental shouted.
"I have received a strange paper. What of it?" The Apex Flyer asked.
"Can you read it?" The Apex Elemental replied.
A gust of wind pushed by as the Apex Flyer appeared behind the duo. Rex just casually accepted the greeting.
"Why did you bless this man?" The Apex Flyer asked.
"He dove feet first into the Apex Layer. Without any blessing or any of us. He ended up near the core and almost died. If not for me shielding him." The Apex Elemental replied.
"What makes you worthy of our help?" The Apex Flyer asked angrily.
"I already destroyed the fake Apex Predator. I am trying to find the real Builder Faction Leader and smash his ugly face in." Rex gave a pat to the Apex Flyer.
"Well, what use would you have for me if you can already fight the fake one?" The Apex Flyer calmed down asking.
"Well, in your paper. It probably states that you have to fight. I really do not want you to. So either we can cooperate with each other or I will just make it where you will not make it to the battle." Rex stated.
The Apex Flyer frowned because he had not heard of any such thing before. He needed to know what Rex would do.
"If I cooperate with you, what would you do?"
"I will make it where you will not be able to fly or walk a couple of weeks." Rex replied.
The Apex Elemental's eyes twitched. He did not want any enemies out of the Apex Flyer.
The Apex Flyer thought that just a few weeks would not be enough to find the Apex Predator. He also could not read, so he had no idea about the battle.
"What if I refuse?" The Apex Flyer wanted to fight.
"I will permanently destroy your wings and leave you with only one leg able to use." Rex let a little Demonic Qi out.
Feeling that Rex was not joking around. The Apex Flyer wanted to test Rex before he did anything else.
"Before any agreements or disagreements are made. I want to see if you could actually fight against such a beast." The Apex Flyer replied.
Rex sighed and naturally let loose all the strength he could beside the Apex Flyer in the form of a punch.
Thousands of mountains turned to dust. Whatever mountains did survive the punch, crumbled when the Apex Flyer would try to find a place to spend the night.
"Leave before I kill you." The Apex Flyer roared.
Rex did. The Apex Elemental had a defeated body expression. The two went to the Apex Herbivore Layer next.
A vast grass plain with very little trees. The trees that were present went far into the sky. The Apex Elemental did not have to wait until the Apex Herbivore came out.
To Rex's eyes, the Apex Herbivore looked exactly like a giant panda, but it acted like a sloth.
Rex stood before it the lazy looking eyes because it was currently nighttime. The Apex Herbivore always got disturbed when sleeping.
"What do you want?" The Apex Herbivore asked.
"I want to know if you received a paper." Rex asked.
"Yeah. Here, follow me." The Apex Herbivore led the duo to where the letter was hung up.
"You are not required to fight. I am glad. Just make sure that you do not appear at the Calamity Battle for your sake." Rex answered.
"Why?" The Apex Herbivore replied.
"I would hate to harm you. I actually like you." Rex answered.
The Apex Herbivore did not reply and just climbed up the trees.
"Next." Rex said.
The duo set off to the Apex Carnivore Layer. Inside this layer were thousands of bones. These bones ranged from bones that looked like toothpicks to a single bones that almost never seemed to end.
A loud crashing sound could be heard. The creature before Rex had snake-like eyes, grey and black scales, a yellow pointed tongue, a long pointed snout, and a tail that did not seem to raise up due to the sheer length of it.
"So, you have been visiting my friends before me?" The Apex Carnivore replied.
"Yes. That is simply because that is the way the turn order went." Rex answered.
"I like my meals feisty." The Apex Carnivore's tongue acted like a smell sensory.
Rex frowned because he did not know what to think.
The Apex Elemental had already decided to just help Rex to each layer and not interfere anymore.
Rex and the Apex Carnivore just stared at each other. It seemed like the two were measuring each other up.
"Did you receive a paper?" Rex finally asked.
"I did."
"May I see it?"
"You already know what it will say."
"I see."
Rex just went on ahead and punched the left side of the Apex Carnivore. Both of the left legs of the Apex Carnivore were not completely broken at the thickest bone on each leg. They were damaged enough for the Apex Carnivore not to show up at the Calamity Battle.
Before the Apex Carnivore could even say anything to Rex. Rex and the Apex Elemental had both left.
In the next area. Rex and the Apex Elemental had both arrived in a layer full of nothing but water. Surprisingly, the duo could breathe without any effort or trouble.
A dark shadow was currently above them. Rex knew that the Apex Swimmer was currently asleep.
"I wonder if I should wake it up or just wait?"
Rex decided to wait and rest with the Apex Elemental in the Water Layer.
