There were probably a few hours left before the start of the battle. I started to walk towards the tombstone again.
Within minutes of walking. I found serenity in the scenery. I felt happy to be alive. I did not know why this feeling came while walking like this.
I truly wanted to take everyone on a walk like this. I could not help but feel more alive the deeper I went into my walk.
Suddenly, I saw a portal in front of me. I was worried that this was the entrance to the battle at first.
It was when I turned around. I had already entered the portal. This was not a good idea at all now. I needed to explain the plan to the others while we still had a couple of minutes.
"Ding"
I did not check the notification.
I continued to look around. I saw a wounded animal. I went and got closer. I saw that the animal was a wolf. It was a female because her puppies were behind her growling.
"Ding"
I still decided not to check the notification.
The wolf had a severe gut slash. The wound itself was from a sword. I looked around to see if there was anything I could grab to help cover the wound.
The reason that I did that was that I could not feel any Qi inside me or in the air. I went and tried to cover the wound up. By the time I came back. The wolf had died. Her puppies her crying.
I went and picked them up. Whatever I was going through, I would do it like this. In the next second, the scene changes from the dead wolf to a thief begging for mercy because he was trying to protect his family.
This time, I felt Qi in the air and inside my body, not much, though. I went and released him. I forced a collar around his neck.
"This collar is a symbol of the fact there is no second chance. If you are caught again stealing. I will not be able to help you because your head will already be gone." I said.
The man bowed and thanked me for this generosity.
"Ding-Dong"
I finally checked the notification.
"Wolf Quest"
"Try to heal the wounded wolf."
"Rating Passing Failure"
"You tried to heal the wolf but failed. Since you at least attempted it, you get a pass. You still failed to heal the wolf. A retry will be suited because you did hold her cubs for comfort."
"Thief Quest"
"Hear out the Thief's plea and judge towards your conscience."
"Rating Complete Pass"
"You not only gave the Thief a second chance but also a way to restore your dignity if he did not comply."
"True Evil Quest"
"Wipe out the Evil or let Evil rein."
"Rating not completed."
"No status because it has not been activated."
I had no idea why these Quests were going on now. That is when I heard another "Ding." I saw this notification.
"The Judging Event"
"Three different Quests are available. Each one is different, and each one has a significant meaning in your life. Choose your path and let the Rating decide what path you will take."
I still had no idea what this event was or what it did. I had to get the final True Evil Quest done. I did not know what was going on outside.
Finally, I was in front of an army of demons. Each one has four wings, four arms, two legs, and at least three pointed horns.
"We are ready to fight! Let us fight!" The army chanted.
I stomped my foot. Before I could say anything, a screen panel popped up in front of me.
"Take Evil head on by saying, "Death to you weaklings."
"Lead Evil to destroy everything by saying, "Follow me weaklings."
"Take Evil to their death by saying, "We journey to strengthen you weaklings."
I was not going to lead evil. That was for certain. So that felt me with either fighting them head-on. I was not sure if I had even the strength to fight them head-on. All of my stats were currently hidden.
The best option out of the three was to lead them to their death. I was still not completely satisfied with just leading them like that. I was worried that some of them might survive. Even though this was just simply a quest.
I do not intend to make a fool out of myself. I was not sure if any time would be affected by these choices.
In the end, I have will voice out, "Death to you weaklings."
The demons started to come at me. I swung my right arm across and slaughtered thousands of them. The more they fell, the better I got.
Once the army was wiped out.
"Ding"
I did not have to check it because it popped in front of my face.
"True Evil Quest'
"Wipe Evil out or let Evil rein."
"Rating Pass on Take Evil Head On."
"You have successfully wiped out the demon army."
That is all there was.
I got teleported back to where the wolf mother was lying in the grass with a sword gut slash.
I immediately tried to just hold her skin and fur together. I picked her up and ran slowly. That was so that way the puppies could see where I was going. The mother wolf did not try to attack me.
I quickly scanned the area. Found a cave, I would dart a little bit and wait for the puppies.
Finally we arrived at the cave. Upon entering, we first find several medicine kits. I started to pull out needles and thread.
Slowly, I began to sew the mother wolf up. She yelped a few times, but that was all. Finally, I had her patched up. I lit a fire, and we settled down.
I quickly turned around once the fire was in full bloom. A giant spider was living inside the cave. It did not like that we had visited its home.
I slowly grabbed a stick from the fire. Raising it about head high, I noticed another set of eyes behind the spider.
I tossed the torch and grabbed the mother wolf in one arm and her puppies in the other. I ran out.
Screeching was heard. Several spiders came out of the cave. I was not going to allow the wounded wolf mother and her puppies to fight. I had to find a place to let them rest.
Swords came flying through the air. They killed the giant spiders instantly. I was relieved once I found a city.
The wolf mother and her puppies all nestled around me. We began to rest slowly before entering the city.
That is when I heard the Ding go off. The blue panel appeared before me.
"Wolf Quest"
"Try to heal the wounded wolf."
"Rating Complete Pass"
"You healed the mother wolf this time and saved her puppies. You managed to find the city to allow the wolves to live. You have also completed the hidden mission of killing the spider family."
"Hidden Mission Reward: In each Mortal Realm, there will be a city that you will hold complete control over while you live."
I thought that this was funny at first. Then suddenly I found myself back where I was walking to the tombstone.
