Once the lady of the hour left the banquet. The only person who controlled it decided to let it end with a grand announcement.
"I will let everyone know now. Lilith and Rex will not be required to participate in any more matches. If anyone has any problems, see me tomorrow afternoon." Deathholder said.
Once the announcement was made, he left. He no longer had any reason to stay. Once people finished, what was on their plates. They dispersed back to where they lived.
The last ones, like usual, were the Seat Holders. They had to straighten up the area.
Although it was a rigorous task. They held a great amount of respect for each other and from most people.
Since people did not really like or know Lilith. Her seat was usually the one that people wanted to take.
The Seat Holders now understood that their position in the Seat Holders could be threatened. They wanted to get on Lilith's good side.
"We need to hold a grand exit for Lilith and Rex." The First Seat Holder said.
"Why?" The Second Seat Holder replied.
"We need to show the people. That, we, all of us, are together. I personally will lead the grand exit." The First Seat Holder spoke.
This made everyone shiver. They did not know how powerful his swordsmanship was. The fact that Rex's weapons could match his Wondrous Qi Swords. This made them want to watch the fight.
"How strong do you think his swordsmanship is?" The Tenth Seat Holder asked.
"It is weak for sure. His use of his weapons is lacking severely. He makes up for the slack with great power and powerful weapons. I want to see him use the axe." The First Seat Holder smiled.
Everyone bowed. They knew when the First Seat Holder wanted something. He got it.
The cleaning took place. Everyone but the First Seat Holder went back to their rooms.
A light shone on the First Seat Holder's sword. He became a woman.
"Man, it is rough being the only female among those idiots." She replied.
"Of course it is. You are the greatest among the current generation. A female would never be accepted in the top three seat holders." Deathholder walked in.
"Sir. Are you sure you were married? Walking in on a woman like that. I am sure your wife would have killed you plenty of times." She replied.
"Well, to make things interesting. I will hold the match between the Mistress of the Shadows vs Rex, Wife of Lilith. I am sure most people would like to see that." Deathholder replied.
"So his departure would end with a match with me?" She replied.
"Only if he wants to." Deathholder said.
She smiled. She knew how hard it was for her to get any matches. Being either the First Seat Holder or the Mistress of the Shadows.
"I am sure the Goddess Mera is upset that she could not fight Rex. I will gladly give him what he would have against Goddess Mera." She replied.
"She was one of the first of your generation that became a Mistress of the Shadows. I wonder why she chose to become an evil dragon?" Deathholder asked.
"We all choose a path. If the path leads to creature based, humanoid based, or simply staying at home. The home one is the worst but has good chances of better offspring." She replied.
"I'd be careful either way. Make sure you give him what he did want against Goddess Mera." Deathholder left.
"Always like that, huh?" She replied.
The following morning
Rex woke up with Lilith holding him tightly. He was glad to see she was okay. He looked over and saw another beautiful woman hugging him.
He was not sure who it was, but he had a feeling that she was connected to him.
Knock
A paper slid underneath the door. Lilith jerked up. Since the room was hers. She knew when anyone or anything entered while she was in.
The sudden jerk woke up Soni. She was not pleased with Lilith. She was sleeping peacefully.
Lilith looked at the paper with an angry expression. Once she saw that it was the Mistress of the Shadows.
Lilith's jaw dropped. Any news related to her was always a mystery. The fact that she wanted to fight Rex. Deathholder also agreed to let the two of them fight if Rex agreed.
"What do you want to do today?" Lilith held the paper close to her.
"Rest and then go back to Earth. I need to get stronger faster. I want to tell you about what happened. The memory is fuzzy at best." Rex answered.
"That is not a problem. That is the way the land there works. If any fairy or humanoid person has knowledge of it. They will not remember much about it. I do because I am a direct descent of my mother." Soni answered.
She could not say anymore on the subject with Lilith around. If it was just Soni and Rex, the two could talk about their experiences for days.
That disheartened Rex. He knew that would be for the best for now. He wanted to get a bath.
He opened the door with his robe in hand. When he opened the door, the Mistress of the Shadows was there.
"I was hoping to have a match with you before you left. My eldest sister did not get to have a match with you. Will you grant me that honor?" She bowed.
"Let me think about it. I am going to take a bath." Rex went to the bath.
The Mistress clapped twice. Two female servants appeared.
"Help him with his bath. I do not want anyone or anything bothering him." She commanded.
The two vanished and reappeared inside the bath. They kicked out everyone. This was all for Rex's and their Master's sake.
When Rex opened the door. He saw two completely naked females. He began to open his mouth.
The Mistress got behind him and placed her hand over his mouth.
"Just enjoy their bathing techniques. Although you are in your Soul State. They have knowledge about bathing Souls." She answered.
Rex just followed. He was not in a hurry since no one was in the bath. A mystical Qi flowed through him while the servants were bathing him.
He could not help but notice that the Mistress watched for the first few minutes before stepping into the corridor.
Rex spent nearly three hours in the bath. Most people were upset that the bath got closed. Deathholder explained the situation to them.
Everyone just grumpy left. Deathholder found the interaction with the people funny. They were mad but also happy at the same time.
When Rex got out. He found a set of robes that did not belong to him. Since his was already gone, he had to wear them.
There were also some slippers that were there. Once the robes were on, the slippers went on by themselves.
When Rex exited, people ran away from him. Rex did not know what happened. He followed his instincts and went back to Lilith.
