Chapter 131 - Chapter 131 Why Rex entered the Demon Realm

Standing before me and the Shadow was the figure who gave me the extra Soul Mate Quests. His presence seemed to nullify time itself.

"Well, I am glad this meeting went well. I hoped it could have been better. I guess this is what I get for tampering with the future." The figure spoke.

"Why are you tampering with the future?" The Shadow asked.

"For your Mistress. These Soul Mate Quests I gave you at first, Rex. It was to help this woman out. Also, if you successfully achieve victory in this. I shall make her one of your extra Soul Mate. This will only be if you can achieve victory in this battle." The figure replied.

"How do I achieve victory?" I replied.

"Two ways. First, allow the necromancer to become a Demonic Lich. This is the best way to achieve victory because the Demon God hates necromancers." The figure seemed to want us to do it this way.

"What is the other way?" I asked.

The figure frowned and said, "Kill yourself alongside the necromancer. When you die, you will return to the Mortal Realm. While you are traveling there, the necromancer's Soul will follow. Then, we have to deal with a Heavenly Ranked Necromancer in the Mortal Realms." The figure replied.

I did not want the second way. I would use it if I have to, though.

"Will my Mistress accept losing her Demonic Lich title?" The Shadow sadly asked.

"She will only accept it if that is the best course. This should have played out with her dying. Once the necromancer became Demonic Lich, the Demon God killed him. Every Demonic Lich, after that, could not accept the fact that the other Demonic Liches always talked about her." The figure said.

The Shadow looked at me. I kept my fists shut tight. I did not want this to play out either way.

"I have looked into every possible way for this to win. Every time I see either you dying or the necromancer dies and no one likes the other two Demonic Liches. I shall take my leave." The figure spoke.

"WAIT!" I shouted.

The figure looked at me.

"When will she accept becoming my Soul Mate if this goes through?" I asked.

"Two ways. First, the two of you will meet up in the Fifth Heavenly Realm and fight each other. Either way, she accepts you. Second, in the Godly Realm. I can not perceive what happens in there. I can see where the Godly Realm is and that you two can meet up there, but that is all." The figure answered.

"If she becomes his Soul Mate. Will she retain her title of Demonic Lich?" The Shadow asked.

"When the necromancer dies. She will automatically be recognized as a previous owner of the title. When she gets recognized, she will be awarded the title of Demonic Lich. No matter where she is." The figure spoke.

The Shadow and I both nodded in agreement. I prayed that the fight would end with the necromancer dying. I wanted it to be my hands.

When I prayed my silent prayer, another being showed up.

"You have prayed for the Mistress of this Shadow to live. Why?" The voice seemed deep and full of hate.

"I want her to live. Is that a problem?" I asked.

The being looked at me and could not see the being beside him smiling. I did not know if this was part of his plan or something about the prayer I did. I did not want this meeting to end badly.

"Long time no see dear cultivator, how has the title of Demon God been?" The figure asked.

With that, the Demon God looked at his left. He began to sweat profusely. We could feel the fear coming from the Demon God. The fear was so great that it also sent fear deep into me and the Shadow.

"If you are here, I will take my leave." The Demon God said hurriedly.

"No need to make a quick entrance and leave. I have seen a new outcome for the Mistress." The figure said.

The Shadow and I kept our focus on the figure.

"Demon God, bless the Mythical Axe. Once it is blessed, it will have a chance to destroy a necromancer's Soul. That is only if you want it to, Rex." The figure smiled at me.

I pulled out the Mythical Axe, and the Demon God looked at it with sad eyes. Those eyes were the eyes of someone who wanted to push themselves to the max. The chance to achieve greatness never came.

The Demon God sent some Qi into the axe. He then looked at me.

"I gave it a sure shot way to destroy a necromancer's Soul. The problem is that both you and I have to want the necromancer dead. When the blade hits the necromancer, I will declare myself that he is needed dead. You have to do the same." The Demon God spoke.

I bowed in acceptance. The Shadow could feel my acceptance in this task. The Demon God also seemed to like what I did. The figure did nothing at all.

The duo figures disappeared afterward. That left me and the Shadow to figure out our next task.

"Shall I lead the necromancer to the Mistress for stalling or just get him outside?"

"Neither we force our way to him." I smiled.

I did not equip the axes. I did use my swords because I was afraid that if I did use the axes. It could trigger the Soul Destruction, and I was not having it.

The Shadow and I walked outside the cavern. We kept moving forward.

While we walked forward, thousands of spiders came running towards us. We both danced with our weapons.

We looked like two fierce rivals trying to claim the most amount of spiders. People would have found this interaction funny. We were trying to fight against the swarm of spiders and make it to the necromancer.

We then came across several dead giant spiders. We kept walking towards our goal of the necromancer. I took the dead spiders as a promise from the figure about the Mistress becoming my Soul Mate afterwards.
