Chapter 128 - Chapter 128 The name is

"That is your name." I said.

"Thank you!" She joyfully bounced around.

I had heard of monsters being happy with their names. This was a little too much.

She kept flapping her wings, which caused several wing gusts. A couple of houses were slightly damaged. I apologized to the owners for her.

The people were adamant about fighting me. They did not care that it was due to happiness. So I went and overpowered the two owners together.

The other townsfolk were not keen on us staying. I did not really want to stay here longer.

The mayor came up and asked me, "Dear cultivator, is it possible for you to help us during our time of need?"

"Sure." I replied without thinking.

I guess it was due to always trying to complete quests. I found this man being purely honest about the Quest he was about to ask.

"Come to my house." He replied.

So the two of us went. The Griffon followed behind me. The two of us entered his house.

"Dear cultivator, there is a necromancer living in the forest about half day travel toward the Demon Capital."

I froze when he said Demon Capital. I did not realize that I was not in the Demon Realm. Since I was not, did that mean the quest to fight 1,000 Demon Army would also come.

"Although he the necromancer is dying. He is trying to make himself into a lich. If he succeeds, the Demon Capital will fall. Will you please stop him from becoming a Demonic Lich?"

I felt fear from my knowledge I knew liches were trouble. I had never heard of what a Demonic Lich is or what powers he could use. So I had to study or get some answers first.

"I do not know much about Demonic Liches. Will you explain what they are?" I almost begged.

"Of course. There have been three Demonic Liches in the Demon Realm. The first one was able to move his Soul freely into any Demonic being. When he did, he would learn any and all techniques from that person. Rumors are that he is still alive."

I really did not want that Lich to be alive.

"The second one was able to shift the entire Demon Realm into existence from the Mortal Realms. That is part of the reason why the Demon God also came into existence."

That I found interesting but I needed to know about the last one.

"The last one, it was spoken through rumors that she found parts of the first two and combined them inside of her. When she did, she became part man, part woman, and part Demon. From what rumors say, she had both male and female organs. The manly stick she had was longer than a Heavenly Dragon and wider than several Realms put together."

"Like the h*ll was that." I thought, trying not to interrupt the mayor.

Even the mayor shivered in his bones, trying to speak about it.

"Although everyone of the past Demonic Liches were never necromancers. I fear what would happen if this guy does become a Demonic Lich."

I agreed with him. I would not want to face against any of those Demonic Liches, but I would rather not have a necromancer become one of these Demonic Liches.

"I will do my best to achieve victory. I cannot promise that he won't become a Demonic Lich in the process."

The mayor bowed. I got directions to the Demon Capital.

I walked outside.

"Eir, time to fly." The name I gave to the Griffon.

She got on her belly, and I climbed. We headed off.

In the sky

"Say Rex, why did you decide to name me, Eir?" She asked.

"I had a dream about several women fighting. One of the women was riding a bigger creature than the rest. She cast a spell, and I woke up."

"I took that name from a mythology from where I originally am from. The name Eir means protection and help. The woman was associated with healing, I like the meaning behind the name best." I told her.

Eir joyfully flew through the air. She was not in any hurry for whatever the case was.

While she was joyfully playing in the air, I focused my attention on the ground.

The ground and air seemed normal. I thought that the Demon Realm should have been contaminated. It was not, and we continued.

We got close to the forest's edge. We landed. Something felt amiss about this place.

Eir did not seem to care. However, I was going to trend carefully. I entered the forest. I could not sense anything at all. I could not even feel my body. I looked down and saw everything was still attached.

I felt glad. The next step I took, I felt nothing. The ground I was standing on felt like air.

This truly startled me. I took another and saw my leg disappear. I raised my leg back up and saw it reattach itself.

I knew that this forest was truly going to be the death of me. I looked up and pushed myself forward.

I kept thinking that there was ground and my body was attached.

In the next couple of steps, I found myself at the entrance to a cave. I felt eyes peering into my Soul from the cave.

When the eyes did, my Spider Queen exited. She peered deep within.

"Rex, there are about twenty thousand spiders inside. Most of them are probably fodder for the Necromancer. There are ten extremely dangerous ones. I could fight about five together, and six is pushing it. That is if we can not separate them."

Since I knew that I would have to fight an army of 1,000 Demons. I took the opportunity to try and cultivate before entering.

When I did, I felt my Demonic Qi rise quickly. Since I had ten thousand Heavenly Qi, I felt that my Demonic Qi at least was triple that while cultivating.

Once midday hit, I entered the cave.
