Rex gently opened the door. His map then showed over forty red dots just on the first floor.
"This killing will not be simple." Rex inwardly cried.
"What is wrong?" Olivia whispered.
"There are over forty people and we are not equipped to take them on." Rex whispered.
Olivia knew they were not. She still wanted to test Rex and see how he would react.
"If only I had fifteen gold. I could make something happen." Rex had a disheartened voice.
"Here." Olivia handed him a pouch.
Rex took it and opened it up and saw over thirty gold.
"Why this much?" Rex was worried.
"That is money I earned. I keep what my sister gives me through teaching." Olivia walked away.
"Thanks. I will make sure this money gets used properly."
Rex walked down a dark alley. Making a slight turn and knocking out a person. He entered a shabby looking building.
Rex's memories
"Oh look at this baby trying to act cool." The bartender laughed.
The place looked like a normal bar. Not many people were inside but they were all having fun chatting.
"I heard from someone named Darkily. That this place was good to buy certain items." Rex said.
The entire place turned quiet. Even the critters outside the place stopped.
"Why would this Darkily say something like that?" The bartender asked.
"He was hired to help me. Something happened to him and had a letter sent to me talking about this place." Rex handed the letter.
The bartender went to the back. He came back after five minutes.
"Seems good. The starting price here in the Third Realm is fifteen gold. If you would have bought something in the Second Realm it would have been cheaper." The bartender glanced at everyone.
"Okay. Darkily said he had put the items in the letter. How much is the total?" Rex asked.
"Forty gold." The bartender again glanced at everyone.
"I only have twenty gold. I promise to come back and finish paying once the deal is done. Will you accept it please?" Rex asked.
The entire place turned to a huge laughter. Even the critters outside laughed.
"Baby, do you know what this place is?" The bartender asked.
"No. I was just told to come here." Rex answered honestly.
"Sometimes being honest is a virtue but around here it is not. Remember baby, the more honest you are. The more likely you will be killed in the future. Since you are on my good side, I will accept your offer but with a condition. Take any one of these men and let them help you. Once you get the rest of your money they will bring it back." The bartender said.
"Thank you." Rex replied.
A box filled with three different pouches, a black overcoat, two short swords, and ten daggers were handed to Rex.
Inside the shabby building
Rex entered the building at 9:56 in the morning. He took a long way around to make sure no one followed him.
The entire place was laughing and having a good time. Rex happened to see a good table.
He slid in and asked, "What kind of drinks do you like sir?"
The man he was talking to had a brown coat with black buttons, a scar across his left side of his face, his right eye was missing, and a short sword on the table.
"Baby, do you know where you are?" The man asked.
"Of course I do. I cannot help but enjoy drinking with older men. What kind of drinks do you like?" Rex asked again.
The man looked straight into Rex's eyes. He could tell that Rex had killed many people.
"Well baby, I enjoy the cheapest drink you can afford." The man replied.
"Bartend! Bring us a bottle of the best drink you've got!" Rex yelled.
People around smiled seeing Rex get the best bottle.
"That bottle will be 13 gold. Pay up front." The bartender yelled back.
Rex opened his pouch and laid his 13 gold. "Here is your money, now the bottle needs to make it here now."
Seeing how gutsy Rex was, the older man laughed.
"Good Boy! Now What can this man do for you?"
Rex looked at him.
"Nothing. I came to get a few items and decided to drink with you beforehand." Rex explained.
The Spider Queen looked at this and could not tell what Rex was doing. She did not like this place but seeing how Rex fit in. She was not going to act unless something happened.
"Oh what kind of items are you looking for?" The older man asked.
"A black overcoat, ten daggers, two short swords, a pouch of hidden Qi, a pouch of Silence, and a pouch of love." Rex answered.
Hearing what Rex wanted. The place looked at Rex seriously. Even the critters outside looked through the windows.
"Boy, those items are precious. Who needs this much for a good journey?" The older man asked.
"I do. Making a living through cultivation is hard. I figured I would make a few side dollars." Rex answered.
The bartender looked at Rex. He felt sorry for whoever he was about to kill.
"Will you let me see how you make a few extra dollars here in Rith please?" The older man asked.
"Sure. Bartend, also bring two normal glasses. We're gonna drink that bottle fast." Rex called out.
"Oh. Does liquor set on you well Boy?" The older man asked.
"The Hell it does. I will be sloppier than the sloppiest stew in the Realm." Rex laughed.
The crowd laughed. The critters kept their silence this time.
"Boy, making a few extra dollars and becoming sloppier than the sloppiest stew is not a good combo. Try it next time." The older man replied.
"I have a meeting in two days. I have four targets. Each of them will be dealt with quickly. Tell you what, I will return in an hour with the bounty. What do you say to that bet?" Rex asked.
The entire place heard Rex and smiled. They wanted to bet on this too.
"Deal. At least one person here has to bet on each of us first though. Take your pick do I win and he does not make it or do you bet on Boy and that he does? Come on at least one person here has to bet on Boy." The older man said.
"I will bet on Boy." The bartender said.
"Lucky Man you are Boy. Getting the bartend's favor is extremely hard in this place. Bartend! If he wins, we will pay for our tabs by the end of the week. If he loses, our tabs will be cleaned out." The older man yelled.
"I take that deal." The bartender smiled.
Everyone in there froze, the bartender never smiled at anyone or anything. He just simply took his job very seriously.
"Alright Men, someone has to take my side per deal. Come on now!" The older man said.
"Deal Darkily. I, Raggy Rat, take that deal." This man had a blue overcoat on.
"Well Boy, when does time start?" Darkily asked.
"When I leave the doors closed." Rex answered.
"Good Boy. We cannot have any special people entering now can we?" Darkily laughed.
Rex got the box with the items and immediately put the overcoat on, taking a seed from the pouch labeled with Qi on it, Rex immediately shallowed the seed, grabbed the two short swords and hid them in his sleeves and put five daggers in each hand.
"Boy, you look like you have done this before." Darkily began to sweat.
"A long time ago, I did. Killing almost became second nature to me both like this and as a normal cultivator." Rex answered.
The entire place began sweating. Even the critters outside felt fear.
"Boy, who are you after?" Darkily asked.
Rex went to the door and before closing it completely said in a voice loud enough for most of them to hear.
"The four Priests in this Realm."
Rex closed the doors and every jaw dropped after hearing the news.
The bartender did not hear who Rex was after but seeing the shocked expressions, he knew it was someone or some people important.
"Good luck man." The bartender spoke softly.
When Rex closed the doors the time was 10:28 in the morning.
