"A Fake Blood Theory."
[Dertsoyer: Yeah? What is it?]
[Kins: What? Fake Blood?]
[DoglovesMe: ( ^ = ^ ) my dogs say they want to know what this is.]
"It could be that the muscular goblin was truly a legendary monster and thus why there is no trap over here."
"The monster must be intelligent. That explains why there is blood."
[Dertsoyer: The monster is intelligent so he sprayed blood? What kind of nonsense!!]
[DoglovesMe: ikr. My dogs are barking because of his stupidity.]
[Kins: …]
[The_Almighty: Hahaha! This guy is hilarious!]
"No, think about it. The goblin might have poured fake blood or it might be some kind of skill.", Monster slayer said as he kept on layering hundred of theories. Even though these theories were worthless and wrong, they were still very interesting and in a way made sense.
Since he killed the goblin with the trap, he completed the mission. He didn't check it right away though and waited for the human to leave.

[You have completed the mission.]
[Claim your reward: a weapon.]
"Well! Let's see what my weapon is!" Rei exclaimed energetically. He then looked at the screen.
[Claim] He quickly stretched his hand and clicked claim.
Suddenly blue pixels accumulated in Rei's hand and then started taking the shape of a star.
*Ding*
[Item name: Shuriken]
[Grade: D]
[Type: Weapon]
[Info: A typical long-ranged weapon having the shape of a star.]
[Unique Skill: Explosion: Will explode based on the user's command.]
[Note: The weapon will cease to exist after exploding.]
[Manual: Basic method to use a shuriken: The user should twist his body and channel all strength to the arms. Then in a single moment, the user should release all the strength.]
[Range: Varies – based on the user's strength.]
Rei looked at the shining blade in front of him with a wide smile. He could tell that this was a very strong and durable weapon. The weapon was none other than a giant star, a throwing star, or a shuriken.
But then a confused expression appeared on his face as he looked at the status window.
It was because he read the skill of the weapon.
"Explosion…"
-"It means the weapon would explode."- Lucas explained before Rei got the chance to ask.
"Uh, I know that but, why would I want my weapon to explode?", Rei asked.
-"Why wouldn't you want that?"-
"…"
-"…"-
"If I make it explode wouldn't that mean the weapon would be destroyed?", Rei asked.
-"Yeah, so...?"-
"So that means I can't use it anymore."
-"That's a given."-
"Then doesn't that mean the skill is useless?"
-"No, you fool! The skill might be helpful in life and death situations!"-
Lucas and Rei then started arguing that which kind of weapon was better.
Soon, after the argument ended, Rei scouted across the place to find anything to hunt. Of course, he was constantly using his shuriken and with the help of the manual, he was able to understand better. And soon he was able to use the shuriken correctly, even though it wasn't that skilful, Rei would surely become better at using the shuriken with each throw.
But there was something bothering him…
[Shuriken]
[Grade: D]
[HP: 50/50|| Max. HP: 60]
The Hp…
That's what troubled him.
Just like any other tool, this too had the HP stat. This meant that, if the shuriken was hit with something or some attack that could cause a depletion of 50 HP, then it would end up getting destroyed immediately.
Also, there is a significant difference between the HP of non-living objects and living beings: HP of living beings can be restored naturally or if a potion was taken, however, for non-living objects, they had to be remade or re-cast. Only after that would their HP recover. The latter was harder.
Therefore, he had to be extremely careful about it.
Just as he was practising using his shuriken he suddenly heard a sharp scream.
Rei then looked in the direction from where he heard the sound. This scream was very familiar to him, especially the voice.
Rei's mind went blank for a second as he ran in the scream's direction without any other thought.
But at that time he was suddenly woken up by Lucas.
-"You idiot! Brainless monkey! Wake up! Where do you think you are going!?"- Lucas shouted.
But Rei ignored him and then looked around the area that was beyond the bushes.
A goblin village… Rei and Lucas, both were already aware of it.
However, no matter how much they knew beforehand when they saw it for themselves again, the place beyond the bushes looked like some kind of entrance to some haunted village: Gates made of wood and a path that was covered with blood and decapitated arms and legs lying on the ground as if someone placed them neatly as a decoration.
Although the village has gates and an almost broken wooden fence in the front, from other sides, there were only bushes and trees.
These arms and legs belonged to goblins. Rei's eyes widened as he looked at the bloodied path. He gulped a large amount of saliva.
Rei could still hear the screams of many goblins, which sent chills down his spine.
Rei's sight had improved a bit when he levelled up, and with the help of his improved sight, he could see what was happening inside the village after closing in a bit.
His heart started to beat faster as he looked at the scene. But at that time he heard a faint sigh.
-"Sigh, let's go back Rei,"- Lucas said to him.
"But-"
-"Who are they to you?"-
"What?"
-"I am asking who are they to you?"-
"They are..."
-"No one! They are no one to you so just get your ass out of here! Don't waste your time trying to save them or even think about it!"-
"Huff! You are right!", Rei said as he quickly inhaled and exhaled. But just as he was about to take a step his eyes widened.
A goblin covered in blood stood against a human…
