Blood splattered everywhere, even splattering on Rei's face. Even though Rei was just a goblin, with his crazed smile and blood all over his face he looked like a complete maniac. To the orc, there was nothing scarier than Rei at the movement.
Rei then grabbed another arrow that was lying on the ground. Rei then stabbed the second eye of the orc, causing him to scream in pain once more. The crazed smile on Rei's face widened as he continued stabbing Gekmon's eyes and pushing the arrow deeper until it was stuck.
"ARGHHH!"
"STOP!"
"PLEASE! ARGH!"
But Rei still didn't stop. He grabbed another arrow and forcefully opened the already-opened orc's mouth and then proceed to stab it.
As if that was not enough, he grabbed many more arrows and forcefully stuffed them in the orc's mouth while the orc's muffled screams echoed in the cave.
Rei then grabbed another arrow and struck Gekmon's neck but only a scratch appeared. But this didn't stop Rei from striking multiple more times until it snapped into two. He then grabbed another arrow and then once again repeatedly struck until that arrow too snapped into two.
This process repeated until an arrow pierced right through Gekmon's neck, causing him to cough blood and kill him finally.
Meanwhile, Lucas was silent this whole time as if he was watching a horror movie. Even though this all was happening, he seemed calm. It was because he lived in the golden era of VR-MMO, where the thing in the game felt realistic.
This was the reason he had no problem watching all of this with the only thought in his mind -'I wish I had some popcorn.'-
After killing the orc, the blue screen once again popped up in front of Rei but this time it didn't startle him.

Rei's eyes widened as he looked at the screen.

Rei didn't know how to use that, but he got excited when he heard the word skill.
-"Haha, why don't you just open it?"- Lucas asked.
Rei, without any hesitation, almost repeated what Lucas said to the system
"O-open skill card."

"A real skill!", Rei murmured as he stared at the screen.
Well, not everyone had skills in this world – especially, slaves. They could neither level up nor possess any skills.
So, for someone like him to get a skill was pretty big deal.
While he didn't exactly know the function of the skill yet, nor did he perform it, just the news about it made him happy.
He couldn't wait to try it!
But before he could say anything else, another notification popped up as a result of the butterfly effect.

And just as another mission got completed on its own, Rei just got even more excited.
He didn't understand the usage of the stat points, however, he couldn't wait to find out more about it. But before he could do anything foolish, Lucas brought him back to his senses.
-"You idiot! Our priority right now is to get out of here!"-
"Ah, you are right."
Rei grabbed some arrows that were lying on the ground and then started running out of there.
Rei stealthily dodged many orcs that were lying dead and then finally crossed the swamp, reaching the eastern side. It was starting to become dark. However, he was not going to stop unless he reached the hut… his home.
He wanted to meet his siblings.
He had promised them that he would return, and thus, he was running with all his might.
About his survival… he could try giving some excuses to Rout or so he thought, however, he realized that he looked quite different from his original form. Needless to say, Rout wouldn't even recognize him!
Additionally, since this body was different, it no longer had any slave crest or mark – he was free.
'A bit more…', Rei thought to himself as he ran with all his might, expecting to reach the hut soon, but just as he was two hundred metres away, he stopped.
Suddenly Rei's eyes widened as he looked at the smoke that probably came due to fire in the direction of the hut.
Rei ran as fast as he could and finally reached near his hut, but it was engulfed in fire. There were three orcs near the hut who were laughing to their heart's content while looking at the burning hut.
Rei's mind was blank.
He couldn't think of anything.
Why? Why would Rout burn the hut? What could he possibly get out of it?
Why did the orcs burn it? – these were the only questions that looped inside his mind.
The memories of him and his siblings flashed in front of his eyes.
He could remember all the times that they had spent despite living in such a poor hut.
In fact, the last thing he could recall was the promise of returning.
He fulfilled…
He returned, but they were no more.
Blood vessels visibly bulged on his arms as he gritted his teeth.
"You bastards!" Rei's mind went blank before a blood-curdling shout come from his mouth. This time both of his eyes completely turned crimson red and were shining.
It was as if a Dragon or a Lion had roared.
His shout echoed throughout the area rendering the orcs silent.
"Wh-"
"YOUR BASTARDS!", he screamed again as he dashed out of the bush, rushing towards them like a mindless beast!
