Synopsis
Guy wakes up in the Marvel world in an unknown universe (a mix of comics and MCU) without any cheats or powers, in a badly damaged body of a test subject. He gets tortured and experimented on, and eventually makes a deal with an unknown entity to gain power. He will be whatever he wants to be: a savior, a hero, or a maniac who destroys planets and universes. Imagine a cold and sane anti-hero/villain with his chaotic thoughts more controlled but sane enough to function regularly. Kind of like Batman who laughs on steroids. I'm going for another new idea as I'm tired of reading the usual trope. The Mc's personality is something I can personally relate to. Bro is just tired of all the crap and wants to end it all, not just for him, but for everyone else. That's not asking too much, right ? xD This story will have dark humor and dark subplot, but also romance and fun stuff. MC is will go through character development as the story progresses. Caution: Rape, torture, violence, mind control, slavery, strong language, mass genocide, and gore content are present in the opening chapter and maybe later on. Mc will mature and grow out of mass genocidal phase soon. Enjoy !

Chapter 1 - A life that never mattered

** Disclaimer : Do not expect this story to be similar to my other fics. This is kind of a pet project that's supposed to help me write in a different style. It's gonna be dark; there will be some pretty messed up shit. It'll be funny at the same time, with some naughty stuff, so buckle up your seats and get your lotion and tissues ready, dudes. It's gonna be a wild ride. **

So, it looks like I'm dying miserably. Not the way I preferred to end my journey in the Marvel world. Not that it was much of a journey anyway. A few years of surviving, enduring, and barely living—only to end up like this.

You guys must be thinking, "What a loser! Went to a fictional world with powers and heroes but dying miserably without even banging any waifu or beating Thanos like a toddler !" I can't really argue with that. But at this point, what good would it do !

I wasn't a devout man—not by any stretch. Never believed in the idea that being good grants you heaven or being evil punches your ticket to hell. I lived an ordinary, meaningless life, a cog in the machine of existence. Everything felt so utterly pointless. Humanity itself seemed like a cosmic joke, living in a false reality with their blissful ignorance. Honestly, I just wanted it all to end—me, the world, the universe. Wipe the slate clean and call it a day.

Clinical depression, schizophrenia, dual personalities, suicidal tendencies, and a strong desire to cause global destruction—that was my diagnosis report. Sounds like a dream team of mental illnesses, huh? They locked me up after that—big surprise. I was the kind of person who just wanted the whole charade of life to crash and burn. Because what's the point of living if life has no meaning?

But when you wake up in a world full of superpowered beings who can crush you like an ant, your first instinct is to call God for help! Not like that would do me any good, nor that I could actually ask for help, being chained and gagged in a dark cell and all.

When I woke up in a world full of superpowered beings who could squash me like a bug, my first instinct was to scream for God. Not that it helped. Not that I could even ask for help, being chained and gagged in a pitch-black cell and all.

The name on my tag said David Faust. I remembered how it felt to live as him, but I wasn't him. It was like watching a movie strapped to a chair, forced to endure the horrors unfolding on-screen with no way to look away.

David Faust was a loser—a certified, grade-A failure. I'd say it's a harsh assessment, but his life story kinda proves the point. Sold by his father at five years old to pay off a gambling debt. Raised by a gang as a pickpocket—tortured daily when he didn't make his quota. Beaten. Starved. And molested by a creep named Diddy when he turned 13.

David, in a stroke of revolting genius, smeared himself with piss and garbage to make himself as repulsive as possible. It worked. No more molestation. Just more beatings and disgusted glares. Small victories, I guess.

Once, he ran to the police for salvation. Rookie move. The officer turned out to be on the gang's payroll. That earned David a one-way trip to Broken Bone City, population: him. Tossed out like trash to die in the gutter, he barely scraped by—begging for scraps that were usually kicked away by "civilized" passersby.

Even then, his misery never ended. He couldn't eat properly even as he begged, but he was only kicked away by the so-called civilized Samaritans. Living without any food for days, hoping to die so the hunger would stop. I watched his memories, and all I could do was be shocked at how cruel the world could be. With years passing, he became a petty thug and drug addict, losing his will to resist his fate or to live.

Years of this hell . The gang life broke him down into a petty thug, addicted to drugs, and long past the will to live. He thought he'd hit rock bottom. Then came the facility.

Picked up by some "good Samaritans," David thought his luck had turned. He was fed, cleaned up, and, for a brief moment, dared to hope. Poor bastard. He didn't know he was just a lab rat for an army experiment. Courtesy of Mr. Sinister and William Stryker—a match made in hell. They were experimenting to forcibly awaken X-genes, ripping apart people's bodies and souls for their twisted science.

I saw it all how they did those horrible things. David died in that cell, smiling, because the suffering was finally over. That's when I took over.

I wasn't much luckier. I tried desperately to awaken some hidden power, praying to whatever cosmic force sent me here that they didn't leave me high and dry. Spoiler alert: They did.

The lab work was... graphic. They opened me up without anesthesia. Just steel instruments digging through flesh while I screamed until my throat bled. They drowned me in tanks, choking me until my lungs burned for air. Sometimes they just locked me in glass tubes with no oxygen. It was like being Deadpool's understudy but without the punchline.

I watched again, this time as myself as they cut me open without anesthesia, drowned me till could not breathe, choked me in a glass tube without oxygen. Am I in the same lab as Deadpool? I remember that's how he got his powers in movie. I lost track of how many days or years passed by as they tested how far could they take it.

Day after day, the cell door would creak open, and I'd brace myself for the next session of hell. The scientists were almost cheerful about it. "A lively subject improves the odds of mutation," they'd joke as I thrashed against the restraints. I hated them. Hated this world. Hated myself for being so goddamn powerless. They were very hopeful that I will have a X gene as very few can survive what they put me through.Everytime I would hear my cell door open, I would prepare myself to die.

Fuck living in such a world where people won't help you , not even the so called heroes.

Oh, I forgot to mention this world apparently had super heroes and super villains. I remembered some of them.

And the so-called heroes? Don't get me started. Once, I crossed paths with Tony Stark. Tried to mug someone because I hadn't eaten in days. He swooped in, saved the day, and tossed me in jail like yesterday's garbage. When I begged him for help, he wrinkled his nose like I was dog shit and said, "Scum like you are beyond saving." Then he drove off in his luxury car, leaving me to rot.

I hated everything, including myself for being so pathetic. So much for travelling to another world huh? But one night, In the darkness of my cell, I heard a whisper in my mind.

One night, as I lay in that cell, staring into the void, I heard it—a whisper in my mind.

"Give me your body," it said. "And I'll give you power to crush them all."

Tempting, right? But I wasn't an idiot. I knew a bad deal when I heard one. So I resisted.

One night, as I lay in that cell, staring into the void, I heard it—a whisper in my mind.

"Give me your body," it said. "And I'll give you power to crush them all."

Tempting, right? But I wasn't an idiot. I knew a bad deal when I heard one. Whatever sanity I had left told me not to trust it, so I resisted. It lured me with promises of wealth, power, and freedom. When that failed, it started to threaten me, showing me nightmares, and take over by destroying my mind.

But I just laughed. I laughed mockingly as I spoke to it, "You can not break what's already shattered, buddy. I won't give up being a slave to humans just to be one for some demon or something else. Kill me if you can; I'm so done with this fuckin life."

That thing was quite surprised after hearing my answer, but he didn't stop. It kept trying and trying, and I kept resisting.

One day, however, the voice asked me, " Do you truly wish to be free without any restraints? I can grant your wish, as long as you give up being human." I replied without thinking with a crazy grin on my face, "I just wish for this to end. Fuck new life, fuck adventure and dreams, and most of all, fuck whoever sent me here."

It laughed too, a deep, bone-chilling sound. "How broken you are, little human. Yet you won't submit—not to me, not to them. You don't wish for anything but death, but I have taken an interest in you, little human. I'll grant you a piece of my power, no strings attached. But you'll need a catalyst, and lucky for you, they're injecting you with something special tomorrow."

I replied, "What do you want from me? "There's no way you are a good Samaritan helping the unfortunate."

He just laughed and said, "No need to doubt me so much . You don't have to do anything. I'll just ask for one thing: keep me entertained, and you can do whatever you want. Also, maybe destroy some Celestials and a couple of universes if you feel like it. I won't intervene at all, even if you die."

I looked at him with my lifeless eyes and asked, How? And why would you just give it away for nothing?"

He replied, "Because I have a feeling you will be fun to watch."

I asked him finally, "Who are you truly ?"

He just laughed and replied, "My existence is beyond your understanding."

So I did the only thing I could do: say yes to him.

I didn't trust it. Of course not. "What's the catch?" I asked.

"No catch," it said. "Just keep me entertained. Destroy some Celestials, maybe a universe or two. Do whatever you want. I won't even intervene if you die."

"Who are you?" I demanded.

It laughed again, a sound like a collapsing star. "I am beyond your understanding."

And so, I said the only thing I could say: yes.
