"I can hit her!" Thought Derrick as he leaned forward at his opponent. He slowly went down to a leaning slightly into a crouch.
Soon, Klide's blade swept through the air, releasing a white-silver light with a swish sound.
"This is my chance!!" Derrick thought with panic and anticipation.
From the squat, he threw a Haymaker that landed on a—sword. Klide flicked away the armored hand and wanted to swipe away Derrick, but he sidestepped to Klide's defenseless right and threw a body shot. It landed on the armored parts, causing Klide to glide away, leaving sparks as she slid.
She dusted her armor and smiled, "you are pretty skilled… a bit weak, but skilled."
"I was holding back on you," replied Derrick, mentally exhausted from the short duel.
"Hahahaha, keep telling yourself that… funny, man!" Said Bash in jest while pointing at him.
"Why didn't you use your power!?"
Klide asked Derrick as she sheets back her blade.
"I can't control it. It's complicated…" said Derrick with confusion in his eyes as he removed the uncomfortable gauntlets.
"Well, you will learn as we head to the Savary sea," replied Klide walking away from the trio. Derrick looked at Bash and ran after Klide.
"Why are we going to this Savary sea?"
Derrick asked, following her by the side, breathing slightly heavily.
"To spread your legend, and take the initiative. Staying in this city would fasten our death and yours!" Said Klide, coming In front of a brick wall with blue lines on its straight gaps.
"What will spreading my legend do exactly?" Said Derrick, unsure of why this much fanfare just to make him an equivalent of a national idol.
"It to divert the attention and spread it, giving you more time to find the enemy and possibly make countermeasures!"
Said Klide before slowly tracing her hands in a sequence, causing then caused them to glow and open.
[Creak!)
The wall glowed, and behind it stood a chamber with a giant array sequence on the ground and five giant pillars surrounded this array with floating spell books on top of them.
On top of the array, a giant cyan glowing transparent ball floated several meters above.
"Why is this place so damn big… like it was not this big when I came in!?" Derrick said in fascination while bewildered by the seemingly infinite building.
He touched the mana that floated in the air in curiosity, passing his finger through it continuously.
"What does this…Altar do?" Asked Derrick after calming himself down.
"It's a [Teleportation rune sequence]: meant for teleporting people and objects across vast lands, a common knowledge," said Bast, adding a jab at the end.
"I'll ignore you… I have to ask, why does your figure seem so weird!?" Said Derrick, looking at the man with a curious expression wanting to poke at the man's s face before the altar activated, curving them through space and time.
The trio felt like their world flipped, causing them a great deal of dizziness. The phenomenon lasted several minutes as they passed through a white-blue void of energy and chaos with flying stars, occasionally seen in the vastness of space. Soon, they arrived at their location with all their limbs intact.
It was in the middle of an exotic-themed forest with most of its plants pink-white with constantly flowing petals and leaves.
The blue trees were as massive as skyscrapers with weird/distorted shapes.
It was next to a sparkling-white sea that glittered in the sunlight.
Derrick was about taken aback by the unfamiliar yet very familiar method of transportation. Bash and Klide took time to organize themselves back to a normal state of mind, while Derrick was just —used to it.
"As expected of the Dragonborn, not like us, regular folks, aye!? Said Bash, making more mockery of Derrick's [title].
"Bash…your form!" Said Klide in urgency, raising her voice more than average.
"My, oh, fuck!" said Bash changing from his previous average form to a man with red hair adorned in a flaming aura, yellow complexion, and amber eyes that glowed like fireflies—literally. Bash seemed to wear clothing made of—flames.
"Well, the ruse is up… and it did not even last for long! As you can see. I am what you can call—a Demi elemental," said Bash to Derrick.
Derrick just blinked his eyes while putting his hands on the bridge of his nose and chuckling.
"Quite a lineup! A good one cause we do need what we can get considering the enemies we are-"
Derrick said but was interrupted by Bash, "We would not have these enemies if we handed you over!"
"Bash!!!" said Klide in a warning tone.
"No, he is right but let me ask you something...Bash! Next time they ask for someone else, no, not someone else you, will you concede and yield to their power?" questioned Derrick, staring deep into his eyes and judging him.
"Well-"
"Well, aren't you such a... Coward!" said Derrick with a deep sneer. The disdain was apparent in his now glowing eyes.
"What… did… you…! Call—Me!?" Bash said, walking toward Derrick, the fire on his body slightly increasing in length.
Klide walked in between them and said, "This is not the time-"
"What? Do you feel confident when facing one of your own but become timid when it's an outsider? I know your type! You're the kind of person to betray your friends, relatives, and family. The moment life gets tough. You can only point fingers and make people serve as your martyr but can never act the part."
Derrick said while coming closer to bash.
"Turn… on that… power, Dragonborn,"
Bash's eyes glowed red with flames and rage, with one of his eyes containing malicious intentions as he stared at Derrick. "Today, I'll see if your power is as big as your mouth!?"
The energy of the two rose before—
[BOOM!]
A blue attack landed at the center of the team, causing them to get thrown to the ground
"Activate your Dragonborn power…Now!" said Bash said to the Derrick, with urgency in his tone.
"Yeah," Derrick eyes then fully turned gold as he smiled.
___________
"What you gonna do when the Dragonborn runs wild on you!?
"Sir, should i cut here."
Yea , seems good"
"Thank youuuuu"
