Evelyn was surprised as well as slightly afraid.
Who could be there at such a time! Her heartbeat was fast and she silently picked up the embroidery needle she had been using to mend her torn clothes before as she walked towards the door to open it.
When she opened it, she found Hannah with an almost crying face standing in front of her.
Evelyn's whole body that stiff relaxed immediately.
"Hannah, what happened?"
And as soon as she asked, Hannah's tears flowed out like a non-stoppable stream.
"Evelyn…wuwu…two days ended. They will tell Henry tomorrow that I…I…"
Hannah shut her mouth as more tears filled her eyes. She can't even say those words out loud in front of Evelyn only.
How would she confess her feelings in front of Henry!
