When Regan continued to look at Evelyn with his deep red eyes, she was waiting for him to say something.
But when he didn't speak for a long time, she felt anxious and said
"Your Highness, I know that I am still new and Your Highness can't trust me so easily but I would still want to assure Your Highness that I would never stab a person's back who is feeding me and giving me clothes to wear."
Evelyn's throat was somewhat clogged with emotions and she stopped speaking after these few words.
Her eyes unconsciously started to fill with tears and she swiftly lowered her head so that no one would see them and like that she continued after taking a deep breath.
"Your Highness, I am very loyal to Your Highness. That letter to Soldier Henry didn't mean anything. I was just scared to see Your Highness there and I passed the letter to him as I couldn't think of anything. If Your Highness wishes….Your Highness can investigate…"
