Chereads / A New Beginning Of The Heavenly Demon / Chapter 25 - Young Miss Ava

Chapter 25 - Young Miss Ava

"My Lord! Are you comfortable here?" Bryan asked timidly, sitting on the airplane seat.

"Not bad." Cayden nodded right next to him, glancing around with interest since it was his first time taking a flight.

Multiple passengers wearing luxurious clothes were seated in rows comfortably, despite there being space beside them. It seemed like Bryan had succeeded in booking a plane for upper-class men.

If not, it would have been packed with the smell of sweat drifting everywhere.

"Phew! It's good." Bryan sighed, catching his breath.

Like Cayden, the other people were observing him as well. After all, his black ancient attire was way too conspicuous. Nevertheless, they didn't have a good reaction thereafter.

His eyes made them break out in a cold sweat.

"Definitely an expert." Everyone guessed so.

Only a couple of females recognized him. Yet, they were afraid to strike up a conversation. Who could have guessed seeing him on a screen and in real time would be this different?

Anyways, there was an exception. When the flight was just about to take off, hurried footsteps sounded, catching everyone's attention. Turning in that direction, they saw two girls scurrying over.

A petite girl dressed in a maxi skirt with a hat and a mask covering her face was leading the way while an adult woman fully clad in a tight leather suit was following her closely, acting like a bodyguard.

The woman was staring at everyone with her cold eyes, sending a dangerous signal, forcing them to look away.

"Young Miss, stop! You might fall." She reminded her frustratingly.

"Hehe! Yes. I can't contain my excitement. I can finally return home." Ava giggled. Her voice was soft and a little immature around 15 years of age.

Next, she chose a seat randomly. Unexpectedly, it was alongside Cayden. This caused Bryan to stand up in displeasure.

"Girl, this isn't your seat."

"Eh! I'm sorr…" Ava was startled. But before she could apologize, the woman behind her chided. How dare he be rude to the young miss?

"Humph! You don't need to remind her. We know. Anyways, it's public transport for a reason. We can sit anywhere we want."

"What? You are unreasonable." Bryan was furious.

"Aunt Bela, it's better to check our seats first." Ava reminded, realizing her mistake.

"Ava, you can't be timid. Or others will always find ways to bully you.' Bela scolded, going a bit harsh on her.

"I know." Ava pouted, joining her two index fingers displeasingly.

"Haha! Is this what you are teaching her? It's wrong. You might turn her into a brainless woman like you." Bryan mocked.

"Bastard! You are not qualified to lecture me." Bela's eyes flashed with an eerie light, emitting a pressure belonging to a rank B warrior.

"Holy God! Why is such a powerful warrior here? Don't they travel around in their private jets?" The crowd gasped in amazement.

"You…" Bryan backed a couple of steps nervously. Without the Lord's power, he was helpless.

When everyone thought that the battle would spark, a calm voice interrupted the tension.

"Ok! It's enough. You can stay here if you like, little girl."

Indeed, it was Cayden's voice.

"What?" Bryan was surprised. He felt that he had heard wrong. How could the ruthless Lord show this kind side?

"Eh! It's you. The handsome cosplayer on the internet." Ava exclaimed with her eyes turning wide.

As for Bela, she began sweating with a pale face. It was because his voice simply suppressed the mana inside her in the blink of an eye. Moreover, his eyes were terrifying and when she attempted to pull out the dagger from under her sleeves in self-defense, a sense of death swept past her.

"Who is he?" Her mind was a mess. She was sure that her head would fly off if she pulled it out.

Noticing something, Ava gazed back and questioned concernedly. "Aunt Bela, what's wrong?"

"No! No. I am good." Bela shook her head, suppressing her relentless heart.

Ava nodded, not showing any doubts. She knew how strong her aunt was.

"Cosplayer?" Cayden replied puzzledly, dragging the attention back to him.

"My friends in the school were gossiping about you everywhere. They would have been jealous if they knew I was with you." Ava started talking the whole time until the flight reached its destination.

During this time, Cayden learned more about her. She was originally born in B-city. Nonetheless, due to some unforeseen circumstances, she had to move here along with her aunt which she didn't reveal. She divulged this with sadness, almost tearing up in the process.

The other thing was that she was currently in the final year of her schooling life. She would reach 16 years old and officially become an adult the next week. She got excited when she declared that she was going to partake in the awakening ceremony happening in G-city by the Divine Priest Thaddeus.

"Guess what powers will I get?" She clenched her fists, showcasing her deep obsession.

"Perhaps a priest," Cayden answered with a knowing smile on his face, even captivating Bela seated on the opposite row.

"Damn! He's such a woman killer. I wonder if the young miss can resist his charm." She cursed inwardly.

She had already labeled this person as the most dangerous existence to date. Even her gang leader wasn't this horrifying.

"I have to report this to her soon." She made up her mind.

However, opposite to her conjecture, Ava gritted her teeth angrily, glaring intently at Cayden. "No! I hate that. I want to become a fighter like my sister."

"My God! She has definitely offended the Lord. Is she going to get herself killed?" Bryan panicked, getting ready to witness another bloody scene.

"I see." Cayden patted her head like a child and stood up.

"Then don't take the awakening ceremony." He walked to the exit leaving the shocked Ava behind.

"Wait!"

Only when Cayden was at the door, did Ava ultimately react.

"What do you mean? How did you know that I would become a priest? A pastor told the same thing many years ago." She yelled loudly, catching the attention of everyone.

Cayden raised the corner of his lip and murmured evilly. "The Fish has taken the bait."

If Bryan had seen it, he would have fallen on his knees, banging his head on the ground. The Lord was the same as he knew. He was evil to the bones. He had a purpose in chatting with the little girl.

"Present me your determination first. Until then, bye. We might meet again soon." He departed without even turning back.

"My Lord! Don't forget me." Bryan dashed off as well.

"Wait!!!" Ava too ran, hoping to catch them. But Aunt Bela didn't allow it. She caught her, indicating to calm down.

"You should stay away from them. They are dangerous." She spoke sternly.

"Why? I don't think they were bad guys." Ava put her hands on her head, still feeling his warmth.

"Fool! You can't trust people easily." Aunt Bela smacked her head, wishing that she would come back to her senses.

Furthermore, she found it strange why the young miss wasn't fearful of that man. Just by peering at his eyes, one would know he wasn't normal. Was he really feigning a good appearance to fool her? Or was she overthinking things?

"But I want to know what he meant in the end." Ava took off her hat, revealing her long straight pink hair with soft bends and a beautiful face that was frowning at the moment.

"No means no. I have already called your sister. She should be here soon." Bela grinned, pushing her outside the plane.

"No way! I wanted to hang around outside for a while." Ava clung to her arm, acting pitiful.

"Is that so? It looks like you need a hard lesson." A haughty female voice full of mockery rang in her ears, scaring her out of her wits.

"Sister?" Ava cried out, glancing in a certain direction.

There they saw a beautiful female having similar looks as Ava, but much more mature, at least 25 years of age, supporting herself on a wall, observing them with interest.

She was in a loose jacket and pants with a cigarette in her mouth, blowing wisps of smoke, creating shapes of roses with her every puff.

"Humm! Have you grown up already? Why aren't you excited to see me?" She pulled her sunglasses up, disclosing her sharp blue eyes where one of them was scarred from the middle.

"How can it be? Long time no see, Amelia!!! I missed you." Ava approached her and hugged her with affection. It had been three whole years since the last time they met.

"No need to act. I heard that you wanted to have fun rather than meet me." Amelia narrowed her eyes.

"Hehe, I wanted to go sightseeing with you. Let's have ice cream first." Ava pulled her to a nearby stall, but Amelia refused to move.

"We are heading home immediately. It isn't safe here." Amelia declared harshly, killing her enthusiasm.

"No!!" How could Ava accept it?

"I'm having a hard time these days. The underground forces have been pressurizing and tracking me most of the time. Thus, to meet you, I had to sneak out here without alerting them." Amelia explained in a sad tone.

"Then there is no choice." Ava didn't say anything more and went gloomily towards the car parking on the side, kicking a pebble on the ground.

However, before she could enter the car, an alarming projectile bursting with firepower headed toward her, alerting the crowd in the vicinity.

"Ava!!"
