Chereads / A New Beginning Of The Heavenly Demon / Chapter 11 - Igor Bursts Out

Chapter 11 - Igor Bursts Out

Igor, the sword master, was one of the three A-rank experts from the Bright Moon Guild. He made his reputation during the battle of Z-city where he slaughtered hundreds of monsters suddenly escaping from the dungeon.

Especially, when he encountered the members of the cults, responsible for that incident. He beheaded every single one of them without any hesitation, leaving no survivors behind.

Since then, he had been tracking the cult and killing them mercilessly. Everywhere his sword passed, blood would flow like a river.

Thus, he was known for his brutality. As for how he arrived in G-city, it was even more interesting. It was said that the Guild Master of the Bright Moon Guild took a fancy to him, marrying him later on. Nobody knew whether she fell in love or wanted to strengthen her guild.

Anyways, he had become the most famous man on the continent with having one of the highest authorities in G-city. So, for him to appear here personally, definitely meant trouble.

While the guards were shaking in fear, rapid footsteps sounded behind them.

"Boss Mike!"

They exclaimed, calming down a bit.

"Humm." Nodding to them, Mike stood respectfully in front of Igor and suggested, "Why don't everyone wait inside and accept our hospitality? I believe they will arrive soon."

"How long?"

Believing that Igor would create a scene, the female officer finally emerged from the car and asked. After all, it was better to solve the matter peacefully instead of creating unnecessary conflicts within themselves when they all had the same common enemies outside the continent.

However, if they were found to be guilty, they would have to be punished. This was their ideology.

Mike's face twitched since how could he know where they went? At most, he could buy some time.

Gritting his teeth, he answered, "A couple of hours."

"Humph! Do you know how busy I am? Just make a phone call and ask them to come here. Also, I don't want to hear that they don't have their cell phones with them." Igor ordered mercilessly.

Seeing that he was so resolute, Mike sighed sadly. He had no choice but to disturb the Lord.

"I hope he doesn't mind it." Nevertheless, he didn't have the guts to directly call him. Bryan was his way to go.

Going into a corner, he privately made a phone call and then returned after five minutes with a heavy expression.

"Did they run away?" Igor questioned sharply, perceiving his ugly countenance.

"Phew!" Mike blew a burst of cold air prior to speaking. "If you guys are in a hurry, then you should all leave for the Sky Restaurant. He is currently on the top floor, having a feast. Otherwise, you have to wait. This is what the Gang Leader said."

Sheesh!

Everyone took a deep breath in shock as they couldn't believe it. How arrogant was that guy? Asking for them to proceed there? Didn't he realize a powerful A-rank warrior was making a visit?

"Bastard! How dare he? Swordmaster, you have to teach him a lesson." Skylar was the first one to break the silence, jumping out of the car.

"He doesn't put you in his eyes. The same goes for the police force. Officer Ellie, you have to arrest him and force the truth out from his own mouth."

All the emotions suppressed by him burst out in an instant as the Skull Gang had been giving him a very hard time these past few days.

"Shut up! Maybe he really has some strength to back it up unlike you." Martin scoffed disdainfully, gradually emerging likewise.

"Haha! Do you think that he is an A-rank expert as well?" Skylar laughed.

Martin was about to continue arguing when Ellie abruptly intervened.

"We can't rule out that possibility. Perhaps, he might be the one behind all this. A B-grade necromancer couldn't have been killed by the likes of Skylar."

"Indeed, it makes sense. Nonetheless, does he think that he can do whatever he wishes with a little bit of strength? I will show him how naïve he is." A bloodthirsty aura radiated from Igor, scaring everyone in the vicinity.

"Damn! How many beings has he killed?" They all were terrorized.

"Take me there immediately." Igor made up his mind.

"I will follow you. Who knows he might have set traps up there. Although I'm still a rank B warrior, I don't think he dares to attack someone from the military. Besides, I will let my driver notify my superiors in case something unexpected happens." Ellie spoke cautiously.

"Do as you fit. Let's move." Glancing at the Skull Gang for one last time, he went back into the sedan.

"You two keep a watch over here. Report at once if you guys see anything suspicious." Ellie commanded the two gang leaders.

"We will." Mike nodded unwillingly. How could he not desire to witness the action?

Peculiarly, for Skylar, who sought truth and revenge. Yet, there was nothing he could do. He knew they lacked both strength and status to refute her.

In this way, they headed into the Skull Gang, rather hoping to find clues and gather information.

Roughly fifteen minutes later,

Ellie and Igor reached the Sky Restaurant with a frown on their faces.

"I received news from the manager that there are indeed two men at the top of the floor. Furthermore, they don't seem shady according to him." Ellie reported and sighed afterward. "Are we overthinking things?"

"I hope so. Sensing no unusual mana fluctuations nearby, confirms there are no problems here." Igor agreed with her.

"Let's head in. I have already told him to drive the other guests away." Ellie walked out.

"Ron, you better stay here and keep an eye on the surroundings." She didn't forget to remind her driver.

"I know." Ron waved his hand.

Climbing the elevator, they arrived at the top floor in the blink of an eye. There they saw a handsome young man in ancient clothing elegantly sipping wine on a large table filled with various dishes.

His table was close to the glass window, causing the rays of sunlight to bask him, manifesting a beautiful sight. From his temperament to his movement, everything was smooth and perfect, clearly out of the norms. The so-called renowned celebrities were nothing compared to him.

Even Ellie was hooked as she felt her heart fluttering. Like her, there were female chiefs secretly peeking at him from inside the kitchen. Some of them were bold enough to take pictures from afar, and post them on their social media accounts.

As for nearing him? It was simply impossible since another somewhat ok looking youngster in a suit chased them right away. Thus, they could only curse him inwardly.

Currently, he was standing right next to him, serving as a waiter, whispering to him frustratingly.

"My Lord, are you really not annoyed by them? This has been happening from the morning, everywhere you go."

Cayden shook his head. "I am used to it. Even in thousands of worlds in the myriad realm."

Bryan was intrigued and shell-shocked. Was he about to learn the history of the Lord?

But before he could pester him, he abruptly perceived two people at the entrance, breaking out in a cold sweat thereafter.

How could he not recognize them? Despite knowing they were called here by the Lord; he was still terrified.

"Sword Master Igor! Officer Ellie!"

"Please welcome!"

He stepped forward, bowing to them.

"Oh! Thank you." Ellie returned back to her senses, replying awkwardly.

"Humph!" Igor snorted at her disapprovingly. How could her expression escape from him? Shouldn't she act more professionally?

Next, he glanced at Cayden, and observing how he was still acting as if nobody was here made him displeased to the extreme. "It seems like we are not appreciated here."

"How can that be?" Bryan innocently turned towards the Lord, expecting him to say something. And he didn't disappoint him. Nonetheless, it didn't sound good.

Putting down the glass of wine, Cayden nonchalantly said, "I never invited you guys. It was you searching for me. Now tell me should I be welcoming?"

"You…" Igor was furious. The anger in his eyes couldn't be contained. Yet, he couldn't deny him.

Noticing that Igor was about to lose control again, Ellie hurriedly introduced herself and went straight to the point, showcasing her true abilities.

"We like to ask you a few questions. Tell me who you are and where you were when.."

"Stop! It's a waste of time." Cayden interrupted her.

"Are you guilty?" She blurted out, narrowing her eyes.

"What will you do in case I am?" He didn't put her in his eyes as he picked up a dumpling and dipped it into a soup, enjoying it thoroughly.

"Then we have to arrest you." She threatened him, taking out the handcuff hanging on her waist.

Seeing that the situation was worsening, Bryan swiftly took out the skull token and yelled, "We did kill the Gang Leader and his subordinates. We had no choice since he belonged to a cult. See, here is the proof."

"What?" The moment it was taken out, Ellie cried out in astonishment while the chiefs and the manager of the restaurant who was watching the show with interest trembled with fear.

As for Igor? His eyes turned red with fury. "Haha! Do you think that we will believe it? What if you guys are the cult members instead? What if you handed it out to protect yourself?"

He kept questioning one after another.

"Perhaps the Gang Leader might have unfortunately seen your identities, forcing you guys to silence him. This also explains why your identity is mysterious, and nobody has any record of it."

He pointed his finger at Cayden, blaming him for everything.

"Swordmaster! Although I respect you, you cannot slander us like this." Bryan was also red and blue from rage. Who could have guessed that taking out the token would backfire?

"Then justify his identity to me. If not, I will cut you guys and examine your blood personally. I clearly recognize how different their blood is from us." Igor released his bloodlust along with his overflowing mana, blowing away everything in sight.

Clank!

The wine glass first crashed down, breaking apart, spilling some of it on Cayden's robes. Similarly, his soup and other dishes followed one after another, creating a mess. Despite the fact that he could have dodged it, he didn't do so.

He was savoring this feeling. It had been a long, long time.

"You have guts."
