It was something far more primal.
A wolf, so massive it loomed above her in the dim glow of the car's headlights. It's fur was thick, wild, and jet-black, but what struck her the most were its eyes.
Golden and unblinking.
Those eyes, glowing in the darkness, seemed to pierce right through her, wild and filled with something more that made her blood run cold. The beast's body so muscular, it's broad shoulders rippling with power. It was unlike anything Alicia had ever seen.
Alicia felt herself caught in that gaze, unable to tear her eyes away, even as her mind screamed at her to run. To turn and lock herself safely back inside the car, away from this impossible, terrifying presence. But her body didn't listen. She was rooted to the spot, her limbs frozen by the force of the creature's stare.
