Chereads / Greatest Footballer's System / Chapter 7 - D day.

Chapter 7 - D day.

You could feel the tension. Tense could be used to describe what the students participating in one tryouts or the other were feeling. Today was the D-day for the tryouts.

Even John could feel his heart racing, but for him, it was not from Nervous or fear, it was anxiety. John was not afraid of not making the the tryouts because he had made his preparations. He knew that the current level he was at now was enough for him to make the tryouts.

He had already asked around and he knew the aspects that they would be tried. Speed, Accuracy, strength, balance. Basically it was a test to determine the basic stats of a person.

But unfortunately, things would not be going the way he expected.

"RIINNG".

The students were so excited that the class was empty before the teacher could say Jack. No one had paid attention to what was being taught in the last class for the day, All that was on their mind was the tryouts that would be happening in next 30 minutes.

John finally found Ray among the ocean of people. " Are you nervous ", Ray asked, you could tell he was the one that was nervous from his body expression. " Nah, I'm just excited", John replied. Ray looked at him like he was mad, " Aren't you afraid you wont take the tryouts ", Ray asked again, " No".

Ray could only shake his head at the abnormal boy.

It would only take 5 minutes to make it from John's class to the field on a normal day, but today was definitely not normal.

" I still can't believe it took us double the time to get to the school field", Ray exclaimed.

They could see a large crowd before them. Ray and John made their way over to the "males football's team tryouts" section. You could see the sign from anywhere on the pitch.

---------------------------------

" This years tryouts for Stardust's Male football team is going to be a team match", Ben the coach for the male's football team announced, behind him was the assistant coach, Jerry.

John and the other participants were dumbfounded after the announcement. The tryouts being a team match was fairly understandable .' What was the need of being a footballer if you can't perform your bit on the pitch ' . But the problem was not that, the problem was how there were going to divide more than 60 people into two teams, most people would not get the chance to shine.

Fortunately, the coach and assistant coach had planned well for this year's tryouts. The sum of people that applied for this year's tryouts were 66.

" You will all be split into six teams, eleven for each, and you will be playing against the team you would pick from the draw" Ben said. " You shall be evaluated from your performance today", the assistant coach, Jerry continued.

John could already feel the excitement in him. Although his information did not come in handy today, the situation was still well within his capabilities. After all, he was aiming to be the world's best, how could he achieve that without playing a match. This was only one of the many matches he was going to play.
