Zalan dashed forward and smacked all the kids on their head and simultaneously took their toys away to stash inside the fortress. After, he made is way to door exiting the play area and waited with his back up against the wall. On cue, the symphony of cries erupted as Zalan covered his ears. To the supervisor, his worst nightmare was happening right in front of him.
Standing there not making a sound, Zalan turned to see a man run inside with a worried look on his face. When the supervisor stepped in, he hastily looked around at all the crying children wondering what the hell happened. As he gazed around, the suspicious pile in the middle where the fortress was located caught his eye as he walked over to check it out. Upon seeing the supervisor was distracted, Zalan turned around and made a run for it. The only problem was something he forgot to account for. Or rather, didn't know existed.
Surrounding the play area was a wall standing 150 cm off the ground with different bar stools placed behind it so parents can overlook their children playing. There was a crack in the middle of the ledge where people could enter or exit. That was exactly what Zalan was aiming for.
Since Amanda was always the one who dropped him within the area, it never occurred to him that there were 2 gates that prevented Toddlers from escaping the area. The first was the white fence like gate that was locked with passcode to which Zalan already knew and could open and close. However the second was an invisible barrier exactly 120 centimetres tall that had to be turned on and off at the front desk. Erected just to prevent toddlers from running out. Seeing that the white gate was already open, without any hesitation, Zalan found out the hard way by charging straight at it whilst running at full speed.
Bam!
'Ugh what the fuu—-'
Before he could finish his thought, he felt a warm liquid oozing down his mouth as small red droplets stained the ground below. Afterwards, as if he were spun, the sensation of light-headedness and weakness slowly spread to every part his body as Zalan felt his consciousness fading away. He stumbled backward and then laid down on his back. With blurry eyes, the last thing he saw before passing out was hazy white ceiling and the pale face of the supervisor staring down at him.

'Where am I? Why do I feel so powerful?'
Zalan immediately shot open his eyes. The concerned faces of two women were looking back at him with worried gazes. The familiar brown eyes belonged to Amanda as she showed her pained smile again, whilst the other women seemed like a nurse with various instruments strapped around her arms and lab cost.
Upon seeing Amanda's smile, Zalan couldn't help but grimace.
'NO NOT AGAIN!'
Before Amanda and the nurse had done anything Zalan quickly covered his mouth as fast as he could.
To the surprise of Amanda who was now gazing a Zalan with a weird look, Zalan realized what he had just done and slowly receded his hand whilst letting out an awkward chuckle.
Ignoring the incredulous look of the Nurse, Amanda started questioning Zalan immediately.
"Zalan what's wrong, do you still feel pain anywhere? What happened?"
The nurse answered before Zalan,
"Ma'am your child—"
"I ran at full speed into a wall." Zalan interrupted, temporarily short-circuiting the nurses brain before she directed her shocked expression towards Amanda
"H-how does he remember what happened? Adults can't always remember let alone 3 year old children!?"
Amanda, temporarily forgetting what Zalan just said, only shrugged and turned with a smile back to Zalan who was now checking out the needle strapped to his arm.
"He's a special one alright." Amanda said whilst stroking Zalan's arm.
Zalan couldn't be bothered by their bickering as he looked up at the Iv drip. His eyes ran along the tube with white liquid up until where the bag was located with a separate machine right beside it. Upon seeing it, Zalan's eyes widened and he bore the same expression the nurse had a few seconds ago.
'A Vis crystal!'
The red fragment of a Vis crystal was suspended in clear liquid was inside the machine next to the IV bag. It seemed like it was powering the machine responsible for adjusting the levels of liquid to be released within. As Zalan's body felt stronger, he decided that he didn't need the drip anymore and couldn't simply absorb the crystal instead to form a core which would heal himself.
'If I absorb that, I can easily form a core!' Zalan thought as now he was eager to do so. But first, he needed a way to get Amanda and the nurse out of the room. And so Zalan turned to face the two of them, putting on the cutest voice and most dashing smile.
"Mommy I want to rest, can you and the lady here can comeback?" Zalan said squeezing out every last bit of cuteness he could muster.
"S-sure", Amanda said before standing still with her gaze frozen on Zalan.
'Why isn't she moving??' Zalan thought as he noticed her odd behaviour
Little did he know, although Amanda agreed, it didn't worked like how Zalan intended it to. Since Zalan always put up a grumpy face, Amanda could only stand there and engrave Zalan's current facial expression into her mind fearing that she may not ever see it again. After all, it was the first time Zalan put on this expression ever since they discover what kind of super genius he was.
Normally when taking lessons with Alex, his face would be that of understanding and contemplation. And for a reason Amanda didn't understand, it would always contort or stay blank when she took him to play with the other children at the daycare. Amanda thought Zalan had finally become more normal. However the complete opposite of what Zalan portrayed outside was currently going inside his head.
'Fuck, just hurry up and leave, I'm cringing right now from this stupid act!'
To no avail, he could only hold his smile helplessly at Amanda and the nurse who looked confused. Seeing that both were still standing there, Zalan turned his head to the side and pretended to sleep. Finally snapping Amanda back to her senses.
"O-ok sleep tight" Amanda sputtered before turning around and dragging the nurse out of the room.
With only the empty blue room and slight beeping of the machine above head remaining, Zalan finally flashed his regular malicious smile and snapped his head towards the Vis-crystal.
