After carefully looking over Rosalind's drawing, the commander wasted no time in planning their venture into the duke's tower. Hearing that there were people left inside, he insisted that they go as soon as possible seeing as it was the duty of the knights to protect the people of their kingdom.
There was much debate over the type of armor or weapons they would be able to bring inside the duke's tower.
Heavy armor would be too loud in situations where they were trying to be quiet. Large weapons wouldn't make sense in cramped spaces.
Eventually, the commander settled on everyone wearing gauntlets and shoulder armor along with the regular swords the knights and apprentices used every day. Everyone would wear a cloth over their noses and mouths in case of poison and they would bring extras with them in case they found a way to rescue those still stuck in the tower.
